Greetings, Aramax. Glad you decided to stick around :)

That's an impressively long-running game. I could never keep that level of focus on one thing for that long.

There's probably a wider variety of political views around here than you expect, but the great thing about the Citadel is that we're not here to talk real world politics (I think we all get plenty of that elsewhere), just fantasy gaming ones ;)

In any case, Hello and happy writing/gaming!

In some ways I'm a little sorry the fantasy setting is on hiatus(permanent?) but when you've been running the SAME thing for 31 years, Its time for a change!
My player's were not done with it, which is the amazing thing!

I would be happy to share my spell BUT I don't see anyway of doing it in a meaningful way with the system neutral rules. Really would need to use numbers!I did however submit a retro sub already  http://strolen.com/viewing/Queen_Nekcrola_the_47th

Old school is more about theme than numbers, in my reckoning.

Regardless, belated welcome for your belated greetings thread!

I thought you seemed vaguely familiar, and so it seems you've darkened the Citadel doorway in our distant past: http://strolen.com/guild/index.php/topic,4497.msg59710.html#msg59710

wb all over again, may your second visitation be as enjoyable as your first!

I'm  new here as well. I started gaming about 5 years agoafter I married my wife and joined her group. I have a 2.5 year old daughter and another on the way  (can't tell the aex yet since it has only been about 5 weeks. Right now the little thing is just  the beginning of a spine.

I too, am born again, but I consider myself more of a conservative than a republican.

Currently I am running a game that is freeform/fate accelerated that could best be described as Star Wars Noir. Gaming preferencewise, I generally prefer fast-playing light rule systems, and dislike combat because it slows down the pace of the game too much.

Oh yeah, and I celebrated my 35th birthday in March. Which means it won't be until my mid 50s when i can finally show my kids to the door (yikes ;))

Triumph of the Dungeon Master!

Ah, how I have come to love that sense of accomplishment and victory that I get when I pull the wool over the eyes of a clever player character. What DM Triumphs have you had?

Some of mine:
1. Finally killing an incredibly powerful, lucky, annoying player's character.
2. Finally achieving a TPK (Total Party Kill)
3. Finally achieving a TPK using only traps
4. Finally working out how to make it so that d**n wizard doesn't steal the spotlight all the d**n time.
