Gossamer, Verity has won the Initiative. 

Wulfhere rolls 1d20 and gets 14.

Verity's Perception roll... 14 + 7 = 21
Verity's Knowledge (local) roll 12 + 4 = 16

The tiny chamber is dimly illuminated by an oil lamp upon a small shelf. 

Although he was mostly asleep, the noise in the hallway woke Verity in time for him to get a good look at the serpent as it crawled from a crack in the wall, headed beneath his cot.  It's a substantial creature, a cobra of at least five feet in length.  He doesn't know much about these snakes, but it seems similar to ones he's seen in snake charmers' acts, so it presumably doesn't spit poison.

While the party travels toward the citadel, Therdamin's dwarven vision spots something the others miss:  Ambushers hidden in a shadowed alley!  One is preparing to hurl a small object toward the party, while the second opens a large wooden box.

(I rolled Perception checks for the party and Therdamin was the only decent one...)

Roll Initiatives!  Val, let us know what Therdamin is doing in the surprise round.

Imagined dwarven war cry. Turn my warhorse towards the enemy and charge..

Well, as soon as the horse is pointed the right way, spur/slap it into a charge or panicked stampede, and abandon horse.

Ill post more later - prime time at home right now, but my intention is to disrupt the missle attack with the horse, and not Therdamin himself.

Caesar193, the doctor would have urged Peregrina to remain so that they could finish planning while in the inn, then travel together.  If Peregrina would have agreed to this, you can “retcon” your decision to head for the Citadel before the rest.  This would place Peregrina into the current fight.

If you'd rather have traveled alone, that's OK as well.

Peregrina allowed herself to be convinced by the doctor to hang around for a bit longer. Bear in mind that while we discuss our plans, she's shooting Spetimus the evil eye and muttering... things about mercenaries. Thus, she's here to kick a** by providing ranged support.

Edit: Ah those were just Class Skill Markings, my bad. Still want Traits though.

I had intended to assign one trait to each character as their personalities and styles became apparent.  Those willing to be illiterate would be rewarded with a second trait.

In response to one player's inquiry about 'buying' disadvantages to allow extra traits or feats: I would rather not allow other disadvantages, as I once ran a GURPS game where the players overdosed on disadvantages, not realizing the cumulative effect of having multiple characters with major problems.
