Mankind, probably the most mysterious species on our planet. A mystery of open questions. Who are we? Where do we come from? Where are we going? How do we know what we believe to know? Why do we believe anything at all? Innumerable questions looking for an answer, an answer which will raise the next question and the following answer will raise a following question and so on and so forth. But in the end, isn't it always the same question and always the same answer?

Jack Sparrow: Why is the rum gone?
Elizabeth: One: because it is a *vile* drink that turns even the most respectable men into complete scoundrels. Two: that signal is over a thousand feet high. The entire royal navy is out looking for me, do you think there is even the slightest chance they wont see it?
Jack Sparrow: But why is the rum gone?

No Country For Old Men:

Wendell: We goin' in?
Ed Tom Bell: Gun out and up.
Wendell: [Wendell draws his pistol] What about yours?
Ed Tom Bell: I'm hidin' behind you

Man who hires Wells: [about Chigurh] Just how dangerous is he?
Carson Wells: Compared to what? The bubonic plague?

Man who hires Wells: Did I say you could sit?
Carson Wells: No, but you strike me as a man who wouldn't want to waste his chair.

Boy on Bike #2: Mister? You got a bone stickin' out yer arm.
Anton Chigurh: Let me just sit here a minute.

Carla Jean Moss: Where'd you get the pistol?
Llewelyn Moss: At the gettin' place.
Carla Jean Moss: Did you buy that gun?
Llewelyn Moss: No. I found it.
Carla Jean Moss: Llewelyn!
Llewelyn Moss: What? Quit hollerin'.
Carla Jean Moss: What'd you give for that thing?
Llewelyn Moss: You don't need to know everything, Carla Jean.
Carla Jean Moss: I need to know that.
Llewelyn Moss: You keep runnin' that mouth I'm gonna' take you in the back and screw ya'.
Carla Jean Moss: Big talk.
Llewelyn Moss: Keep it up.
Carla Jean Moss: Fine. I don't wanna' know. I don't even wanna' know where you been all day.
Llewelyn Moss: That'll work.

Carson Wells: [Wells sits back and studies Moss] What do you do?
Llewelyn Moss: I'm retired.
Carson Wells: What did you do?
Llewelyn Moss: Welder.
Carson Wells: Acetylene? Mig? Tig?
Llewelyn Moss: Any of it. If it can be welded I can weld it.
Carson Wells: Cast iron?
Llewelyn Moss: Yeah.
Carson Wells: I don't mean braze.
Llewelyn Moss: I didn't say braze.
Carson Wells: Pot metal?
Llewelyn Moss: [annoyed] What did I say?

Anton Chigurh [about to kill Wells]: And you know what's going to happen now. You should admit your situation. There would be more dignity in it.
Carson Wells: You go to hell.
Anton Chigurh: Let me ask you something. If the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use was the rule?
Carson Wells: Do you have any idea how godd**n crazy you are?
Anton Chigurh: You mean the nature of this conversation?
Carson Wells: I mean the nature of you.

Triumph of the Dungeon Master!

Ah, how I have come to love that sense of accomplishment and victory that I get when I pull the wool over the eyes of a clever player character. What DM Triumphs have you had?

Some of mine:
1. Finally killing an incredibly powerful, lucky, annoying player's character.
2. Finally achieving a TPK (Total Party Kill)
3. Finally achieving a TPK using only traps
4. Finally working out how to make it so that d**n wizard doesn't steal the spotlight all the d**n time.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
« Reply #237 on: June 03, 2008, 12:50:23 PM »
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Indiana Jones: I've got a bad feeling about this.

---------------------------------------------------

Mutt Williams: You're a *Professor?*
Indiana Jones: Part-time.

---------------------------------------------------

Mutt Williams: Well what's he gonna do now?
Marion Ravenwood: I don't think he plans that far ahead.
Marion Ravenwood: Yeah...
Indiana Jones: [pops out from the inside of the truck with a bazooka] Scooch over will ya, Son?
Mutt Williams: Don't call me 'Son'. Don't.
Indiana Jones: I think I'd cover my ears if I were you!
[Indy shoots a rocket at a giant tree cutter but it sends the large circular blade bouncing straight for them, cutting through other trucks as it goes]
Indiana Jones: *Duck!*

---------------------------------------------------
Mutt Williams: You know, for an old man you ain't bad in a fight. What are you, like 80?

----------------------------------------------------

Mac: We were younger.
Indiana Jones: We had guns!

----------------------------------------------------
Mutt Williams: Get on, Gramps!

-----------------------------------------------------
Mutt Williams: [Irinka Spalko holds sword up to Mutt's neck] Woah! Wait, wait, wait. Stop, stop, stop, stop!
Mutt Williams: [grabs comb out of pocket and combs hair] I'm ready.
[to Indy]
Mutt Williams: Don't give these pigs a thing.

---------------------------------------------------

Mutt Williams: I don't understand. Why the legend about the city of gold?
Indiana Jones: Well, the word for 'gold' translates as 'treasure.' But their treasure wasn't gold, it was knowledge. Knowledge was their treasure.

-----------------------------------------------------

Mac: Jonesy!
[Indiana punches Mac in the face]
Mac: You broke my nose!
Indiana Jones: I warned you.

-----------------------------------------------------

Agent Irina Spalko: This warehouse, where you and your government have hidden all of your secrets. Yes?
Indiana Jones: This is a military warehouse. I've never been here before in my life.

-----------------------------------------------------

Agent Irina Spalko: [Irina has Marion and Indiana hostage] So Dr. Jones, you will help us?
[a soldier cocks a pistol and points it at Marion's back]
Agent Irina Spalko: A simple 'Yes' will do.
Indiana Jones: Oh Marion, you had to go and get yourself kidnapped.
Marion Ravenwood: Not like you did any better.
Indiana Jones: Same old, same old.

-----------------------------------------------------
Mutt Williams: Name's Mutt. Mutt Williams.
Indiana Jones: Mutt?
Mutt Williams: Yeah.
Indiana Jones: What kind of name is that?
Mutt Williams: It's the one I picked. You got a problem with it?
Indiana Jones: Take it easy.
-----------------------------------------------------

Marion Ravenwood: [about 'Mutt'] His name's Henry.
Indiana Jones: Good name.
Marion Ravenwood: He's your son.
Indiana Jones: Why didn't you make him finish school!

-----------------------------------------------------
Indiana Jones: Drop dead!
[Dovchenko punches him in the face]
Indiana Jones: I'm sorry; I meant drop dead, *comrade*.

-----------------------------------------------------

Mutt Williams: Grab the snake!
Indiana Jones: Stop calling it that! Call it something else!
Mutt Williams: Like what?
Indiana Jones: A rope! Call it a rope!
Mutt Williams, Marion Ravenwood: Grab the rope!

-----------------------------------------------------

Marion Ravenwood: I'm sure I wasn't the only one to go on with my life. There must have been plenty of women for you over the years.
Indiana Jones: There were a few. But they all had the same problem.
Marion Ravenwood: Yeah, what's that?
Indiana Jones: They weren't you Honey.

-----------------------------------------------------

Indiana Jones: [crashes into a truck windshield after a failed swing from his whip] d**n, I thought that was closer... .

-----------------------------------------------------
Indiana Jones: [Mac holds his arms up when they are surrounded by Russian soldiers] Put your hands down will you, you're embarrassing us.

-----------------------------------------------------
Mutt Williams: A scorpion just stung me, am I gonna die?
Indiana Jones: How big?
Mutt Williams: Huge!
Indiana Jones: Good.
Mutt Williams: Good?
Indiana Jones: When it comes to scorpions, the bigger the better. Small one bites ya, don’t keep it to yourself.

-----------------------------------------------------

Indiana Jones: [Mutt gets out his knife, ready to fight two KGB agents; both agents pull out guns] Looks like you bought a knife to a gun fight.

-----------------------------------------------------

Indiana Jones: Why don't you stick around, Junior?
Mutt Williams: [chuckles] I don't know. Why didn't you, Dad?
Professor 'Ox' Oxley: [scoffs] Dad...
[gives Indy a questioning look]
Professor 'Ox' Oxley: Dad?
Indiana Jones: Somewhere you Grandpa is laughing.

-----------------------------------------------------
Professor 'Ox' Oxley: How much of human life is lost in waiting?

-----------------------------------------------------

Dean Charles Stanforth: We seem to have reached the age where life stops giving us things and starts taking them away.

Broken Arrow (1996)

My personal favorite quote from the movie
Giles Prentice: I don't know what's scarier, losing nuclear weapons, or that it happens so often there's actually a term for it.

My second one,
Vic Deakins: Would you mind not shooting at the thermonuclear weapons?

Others:

Vic Deakins: Battle is a highly fluid situation. You - You plan on your contingencies, and I have. You keep your initiative, and I will. But what you don't do is share command. It's never a good idea.

Riley Hale: You're out of your mind.
Vic Deakins: Yeah. Ain't it cool?

Riley Hale: I'm serious, Deak, your mind has taken a walk off the map.
Vic Deakins: Maybe. But I'm still gonna kick your ass.

Terry: Clyde, what exactly does a suspicious truck look like?

In a press conference or press release. It is not from a movie. It is all Jack.

Some others he did:

David Mamet (famous playwright)

upon hearing that the star of his latest broadway show, Jeremy Piven (entourage) quit the show suddenly w/o notice, citing out of all things, "mercury poisoning". Dubious, Mamet was asked for a comment.

"I didn't know he had such a high mercury count. I wish him all the best in his new career as a thermometer"

I don't know how accurate this is...  But wikiquote had this, which seems to match, with the added bonus of translated text.

One can cure oneself of the not un- formation by memorizing this sentence: A not unblack dog was chasing a not unsmall rabbit across a not ungreen field.  Orwell

Speed Racer - The Live Action Cartoon (Really, that is the best tag line for it)

Spritle: Go, Speed, Go!
Spritle: [sees Racer X and Inspector Detector at the front door] It's Racer X, The Harbinger of Boom!

Rex: [to young Speed, on the track at Thunderhead] Feel that shimmy? That's your hind legs trying to outrun your front.
Young Speed: What do I do?
Rex: Stop steering, and start driving.

Speed: Racing hasn't changed, and it never will.
Racer X: It doesn't matter if racing never changes. What matters is if we let racing change us. Every one of us has to find a reason to do this. You don't climb into a T-180 to be a driver. You do it because you're driven.

Speed: It's going to be okay.
Mom: You wouldn't lie to your mother, would you?
Speed: Never again.

Rex: [to Speed] Stop steering and start driving. This ain't no dead piece of metal. A car's a living, breathing thing, and she's alive. Feel it talking to you. Telling you what she wants, what she needs. All you gotta do is listen. Close your eyes and listen.

Mr. Royalton: A million dollars to the driver that takes out Racer.
Cannonball Taylor: He won't even get out of the blocks.
Mr. Royalton: I prefer him to not even make it out of the locker room.

Speed: Haven't any of these drivers read the rule book?

Mom: [to Speed] We just have to stick together... and something good will happen. You'll see.

Trixie: Since when did winning become so important?
Speed: It is important. You gotta win if you want to keep driving, and that's what I want to do. It's the only thing I really know how to do.
 Trixie: That's not true.
Speed: Come on, I wouldn't have made it out of high school without your help.
Trixie: Okay, that's true.

Pops Racer: You think you can drive a car and change the world? It doesn't work like that!
Speed: Maybe not, but it's the only thing I know how to do and I gotta do something.

Racer X: [about Rex] I'm sure if he were here, he'd be immensely proud of you.
Speed: For what? Making the same mistakes he did?
Racer X: For trying to make a difference.

Trixie: Oh my god, was that a ninja?
Pops Racer: More like a NON-ja. Terrible what passes for a ninja these days.

Mom: [catching Spritle playing with his chimp in the living room] Hey, what are you two doing?
 Spritle: Nothing.
Mom: Was that the same nothing that broke my last couch?
Spritle: No, that was a totally different nothing.

Pops Racer: That show's in German.
Spritle: Not the monkey parts.

Kung-fu guy #1: So, i have found you at last!
Kung-fu guy #2: What do you want?
#1: To kill you of course!
#2: Right. Well, then, why?
#1: Why is not important now. Your choices are to kill yourself right now, or I will kill you myself.
#2: Right, Well, but I don't want to die
#1: That doesn't matter now
#2: It does to me
#1: Enough talk!
#2: Right, well then...[turns around and runs like the wind]
#1: d**n you! Right, then. [starts chasing him again]
