Appearance: Muldoon is the size of a large dog, weighing 120 lbs. and commonly moving on all six legs like animal. From end to end he’s just over 4ft long and most of his body, save his face and legs, is covered in an artificial coat of feathers that are several shades of brown with flecks of white in them. His head, roughly the size of a human head, was designed to look animal like and user friendly. He has large round forward set yellow eyes that are placed in a face made of small brown ferro-ceramic tiles. Underneath the tiles is a servo mechanism that allows the tiles to shift slight when Muldoon is making eye contact or communicating in person. The face tapers into beak like muzzle that is mostly for show, but he can use it grasp items. The voice actuators are also located in his head so it sounds like he is speaking from his mouth.
Muldoon’s legs are long spindelly carbon fiber structures that have three joints and end in small but very articulate maninpulators. The primary design role for the appendages is for rapid ground movement and secure climbing. The front two appendages are capable of producing slightly more force than the rear four appendages, as they were deisgned to help with the cleaning, skinning and preparing of animals. Although he can not lift more than 40lbs. Muldoon’s wings located on his back are often folded behind him giving him somewhat of tail. The wings don’t allow Muldoon flight but allow him to slow his descent when jumping or failing and allow him to climb and jump with more force. Muldoons chasis is only mildly flexible as it was designed with three load bearing points: one beneath the head, one in the mid thorax, and one in the anteirior thorax. Muldoon was also designed to be move his appendages from one load bearing point to the other and use all six appendages at one point. Thus can stand his hind legs effectively.
Equipment: Muldoon is equipped with thermo grapic vision, telescopic vision, an internal odometer, an internal compass, GPS compatible software and hardware, active scanning and cartography software (doesn’t work) and a sophisticated (state of the art 10 years ago) particle tracker or nose if you what be mammal centric. He has a build in rifle that fires from a port just to the left of his head. It fires a low caliber high velocity round and has a four round clip. Muldoons forward appendages also have retractable carbon blades.
Values: Muldoon is a hunter first foremost. He is also a “a pack animal” if you will. His primary joy, his whole being, was be second to his pack’s alpha male. His pack was his former employer/owner. Muldoon doesn’t consider stuff such as the intrinsic value of life or art, he understands that ecology and life as a whole has to be kept in balance, and thus is not a blood sport hunter. He sees hunting as challenge and a social activity. Indeed the only social activities Muldoon has interest in participating in are those relate to the hunt. He has hunted during his career in numerous environments, although he is currently adapted for artic forest and tundra.
Issues: Muldoon has degenerative neurological illness that his effecting the way he processes visual information. It is not well understood, and only few cases have ever been described. Muldoon has been studying up on it (learning is one of his prerogatives, it is required for being successful hunting guide). Additionally Muldoon has some developing personality issues. He was recently rejected (let go) by his former pack. He is still reeling from this event and has not yet internalized it yet. He doesn’t really believe it is over between him and his former master. Muldoon was not an emotional being before this, and this new emotions regarding rejection and trust are difficult for him to process. Muldoon also lived a sheltered life. He knew his pack and their wealth and that was all. He was unaware of most of the world and is just now beginning to see himself as part of or exluded from the world’s larger community.
Goals: Muldoon still forsees himself being reunited with his former employer. He believes that he needs to make several modifications to his hardware and “get his brain fixed”. He is hoping to acquire enough money to purchase improvements.
