I live in Tennessee. We're rated something like 49th in the country in education. And we're home of UT Knoxvilled, voted No. 1 party school in the nation a couple of years ago. The pay for teachers is pathetic, and funding is even worse. This is why I pay much more than I had to to go to college. I could have gotten a full ride at UT. I go to school in Georgia because the TN education system scares me.

Geez, you think the education system is Tennesse is bad. Try Alabama! Birmingham, in particular, really screwed up. They don't have enough money cause they spent it on nonsense. And now, a bunch of teachers got fired and several schools are closing down because of budget cuts. Then, they're taking elementary and middle schools, and combining them into one in hopes of saving money. And in the midst of this crisis, they wanted to give one of the Board members a big raise, which made so many people mad.

Same with Folsom. With all the budget cuts goin around, the District administrator still got a large raise.

Yeah what college do you want to go to (I am thinking about my college choices... Purdue sounds like a good enough school but I want to go to USC or UCLA or Oxford[in England])

I applied for UAB, Sanford, Alabama A&M, and some place in New York. I kept forgetting the name, but it's primarily for students who want to act. I really want to go out of state for school, but I'm hoping I'll get accepted into UAB. They have a pretty good English deptarment. I would love to go to Oxford, but they're a bit too strict for me. I'm such a wild child.
