I would tell you that Cthulhu is not the supreme evil, Azathoth is, except that Azathoth is the Idiot God of Destruction, the shuddering mass at the center of the galaxy, the blind, mad, screaming, nuclear chaos at the point where all dimensions fall into one infinitely hot, infinitely dense point of primal, screaming energy where insane huge gods dance and gesture mindlessly to the horrible thin whine of demonic flutes and tambourines. So, since Azathoth really isn't very intelligent, I guess Cthulhu is the supreme evil.

Ha, and as the past has told us, and as it is sung in all the great songs, the supreme evil is always defeated, and therefore your Cthulhu will not win. As I said, he comes for me, he gets an arrow between the eyes and a rappier growing out of his middle.

I dunno. I mean, if he really rises, chances are that if you see him, it'll, like, shatter your insignificant mortal sanity into tiny shards of madness, so you might not be able to fire any of those spiffy poison arrows or use yer rapier.

And he's like a god, man!

Don't be too sure of your precious Cthulhu. Remember, Ferahgo is a skilled assasson and warrior. He laughs at death, and while this creature may be like nothing hes ever seen, his reflex's will do the battling for him.

Yep. I sure knows my H.P. Lovecraft.

Fascinating. A very stimulating conversation, yes. Quite. Quite.

"This is getting silly."  Ria Hawk wanders back out into the courtyard.  "First and foremost, Captain, 5 is not the greatest.  That positition is undoubtable held by 42.  FORTY-TWO, I SAY!  Secondly, I say that you can't ever defeat hte ultimate evil, because then you wouldn't have anything to do.  You can only ruin the plans of Ultimate Evil.  Thirdly, I thought Cthulu was female."

"No, I'm pretty sure that Cthulhu is a male. And without evil, there could be no good. As the sun makes a shadow, so does good beget evil, and evil good. Without darkness, there would also be nothing to compare light to, so light wouldn't be so great. The sun can give you a sunburn; Too little sun can poison you; examples; examples; ect. and so forth and so on and all that shed monkey fur in a hand drum."

"But now that I think about it, can a being of such total and uncompromising demonic horrendous evil such as the Old One Cthulhu really be classified as male or female? I mean, such concepts as evil and good, law and chaos, can they really be so easily personified? Can they really be understood? Those are just words, while the concepts behind them are so much greater, so much more significant that we cannot truly make them a part of our purely human existence, much less conceptualize them well enough to mold them into the form of an ac...actua....ack! Gah! Brain...Smart talk...makes mind......Uh....."

"Well, that's not good.  There's only one thing to do."  Ria walks back into the kitchen and returns rolling a barrel.  She pushes it across the courtyard.  "Captain, one of your grog barrels is getting away."

Captain Penguin explodes into action, chasing after the grog barrel with what seems like insane celerity.

Just need to remind there was also talk about Good and Evil in the Citadel's Tavern too. A bit more theoretical in nature. Add if you like.

Thank you Ria Hawk, for getting rid of captain penguin, if only for a short time. As to the ultimate evil, Whenever one is defeated, another, stronger villian steps in to take place, and the previous strength that worked previously is now obsolete. It is this constant line of evil that pushes good to be stronger and faster than they ever thought possible.

Hello, and yes, I would rather prefer the known evil, unless the unknown is just a lousy penguin pirate captain. Then I want the unknow, because it has no chance against me!! :P

Perhaps. But penguins are excellent swimmers, so I guess it all depends on how you try to get away.

Well, Elves arn't the best of swimmers, though we do ok when need be. Naturally I would run or ride. Penguins don't walk that fast either.

"Um, actually, I wasn't trying to get rid of him.  Just wake him up.  He's not evil, just wierd.  Granted, usually not this wierd.  I think it was my earlier comment about us being silly that set him off."  Ria blushes sheepishly.  "Sorry about that."
