Something a little different this time too. There is a new feature that shows the voters and I don't know how it works so this will be the experiment! So your name could very well be directly associated with your vote....and no, I can't turn it off. It is a decision made at the creation of the poll and it can't be turned off.

Aye under the little "view voters" tab (available after you vote) you can see who voted on what.

A potentially unwanted disclosure in regards to anonymity and privacy with everyone's vote/s, (and not really preferred personally.)

You can edit your votes.

And showing the votes is a good experiment as it is another topic that has come up in the past and I had no answer on how to do it. Now I do and now we can really decide if we wanted it or not.

I think it's an interesting feature. I don't mind if other people see how I vote, but I may be in the minority?

I wouldn't think so. I too like the idea of being able to see who voted and how they voted.

Well it's not so much an issue of seeing how everyone else voted, it's the fact that everyone else can see how you voted. I don't care how you voted, or who you voted for, but I have an issue with my vote being visible.

That being said, if the vote is going to be a visible one, I will be abstaining from voting, even if that means I render myself ineligible in the contest.

Usually for a month, though sometimes Strolen closes it early if the polls have seen no activity in awhile.

It says right below the voting poll:

Voting closes: June 19, 2012, 08:18:39 AM

Usually after voting is done within the next week or so the winner is announced and the xp/prize given out and what not.

5-10 individual votes per quest is usually the norm really, not to many people pay much attention to it, and with the votes being public I suspect fewer people will be keen to toss their vote into the ring.

A shame really. I prefer open honesty.

I personally have no problem with my votes being known. Also why I always say what I vote on people's subs and why.

A good point, and partly why the private option is perhaps better. For those who wish to announce their vote, they can still do so, and those that prefer anonymity have that option as well.

It's when the option for privacy is removed that people often get displeased, and feel uncomfortable knowing someone may ask them why they voted for sub X over sub Y.

Thanks, it was close vote, looking forward to the next quest, and great job once again on the Sea of snot, it's truly one of the most memorable locations for any adventure I've seen yet.
