No luck there (and here I'm falling behind again). Let's try shield now. Could be a shield for a viking, a knight, or a mech. Or for something else.

Wow am I far behind. But let's move on to Knight. This could be a heroic armored knight of the middle ages, or perhaps a more modern sort of honorary knight, or even some kind of futuristic space-knight. Traditionally, knights were, well, knighted by nobles or king's or whathaveyou, but in a fantasy world, what if they were knighted by magic or monsters? What else might a knight of a world that never was look like?

What might the Phone of the fantastic past or distant future look like? How about a magic telephone? A salient telephone?

Boba Fett, Samus Aran, assorted others. I am, of course, talking about the humble bounty hunter. Medieval, modern, sci-fi... there are a lot of potential bounty hunter ideas out there. Even plots where the PCs are doing the bouny hunting.

Charlatans is next. The good old Harold Hills of the world. But what do these men and women look like in a world with magic or mechs? Spaceships?

Nature spirits are cool. I'm thinking of the Dryad. Whether the maiden of mythology or the terrible tree monster of Warhammer, or something else, these tree spirits will be going places this week.

Man am I doing badly at keeping these up. Well, let's try to keep going: Lightning is next. Weapons or spells that use lightning. Monsters made of it. Strange natural forms of the phenomenon.

Yeah! We got some lightning alright!

For the coming week, I'm thinking Drone. This could be a drone in our modern concept of the idea, or perhaps a magical or futuristic equivalent.

The Detective is often a protagonist in fiction, but not always. There are corrupt detectives, semi-capable romantic interests, mundanes in way over their head, and simply antagonists to criminal PC-types. So give me some of your detectives for this coming week.
