Woo! Congratulations!

Following the Weapons of War theme, we'll move on to Submarine. Personally, I should be willing to account space versions of submarines, too, but I'm sure there are lots of variants or specific examples to pursue.

You kicked off something profound with this one, sparking a radical change in the Cosmic Era. It took longer than expected, and its still not finished, and sadly doesn't have the first submarine in it.

Thank you for keeping up with the Freetext Friday, I value this contribution you make.

Giving people inspiration is my primary purpose in doing this, so I am glad you found some benefit.

Perhaps I'm on a bit of a ship kick, though, because this coming one is Battleship. The Bismark, Imperial Star Destroyers, the Dreadnaught, lots of good stuff here.

Their kicks were fast as lightning.

We've been doing some pretty modern stuff recently, so perhaps a more fantasy-friendly entry would be good: Crown. Maybe it's on someone's head, maybe it's a long-lost heirloom to an ancient kingdom, or maybe it's something you picked up at the Garage Sale from Hell.

Let's try Greek Mythology. New freetexts can be fun, right? Heroes. Monsters. Gods. What more can you want? Go crazy with it.

I'm singing in the rain, just singin' in the rain, what a glorious feeling, I'm happy, a-gain...

Singing is this week's freetext. I think this is a tricky one, because it's a bit hard to imagine why someone stuck for an idea would already have singing. But it's possible! Singers! Magic songs! Strange methods of communication! Whale songs! There are places to go with this one!

No witches. Howzabout a nightmare? Perhaps a poison? A spell? A curse? Brain implants? Lingering mental trauma from interfacing with high-tech computers?

We got a Nightmare! Check it out if you haven't already.

Next up is Viking. Norsemen. Norse gods. Giants. Wolves. Berserkers. Space vikings. All sorts of places to go this time. (Should we expect Cosmic Era Vikings?)

Okay, I'm going to try to start a totally new Freetext this week. Monster of the Week. Give me those monsters and other villains good for a one-shot appearance in a Buffy, Doctor Who, or similarly episodic monster-hunting game. No big, campaign-arc-defining sorts allowed (though there is still a fair bit of leeway here. Obviously, a lot of villains could be used in an extended style or not, but try to avoid one's pointing that way).

I also encourage you to add the freetext to older posts. Go!

And finally... another Freetext Friday sub: Beware the Snow Devil!
Chosen of Aktagarti – Divine Synod Guild – Level 1
Might: 2 | Agility: 3 | Wits: 4 | Charm: 3 | Spirit: 4 | Power: 2

The old man, grey-haired, braid hanging down.
He is clothed in faded brown robes.
His craggy face is turned up, bathed in moonlight;
He looks for his goddess to smile upon him.

Ah yes, I was also inspired to write a monster of the week.  The Martell Griffin-there is only one.

Here's one I think could go places: University. I want your strange, magical, horrifying, or otherwise interesting places of higher education. College towns, major school organizations, and online learning programs are all also acceptable.

No? Alright, let's keep going.

Choo choo! Everyone hop on board the Strolen Train! Locomotives. The Orient Express. Space trains. Great train robberies. Ghost trains. There's got to be lots more to do with 'em.

All aboard!

They've been a big part of historical Christianity, but are rare in fantasy religions; I speak, of course, of the Saint. And that's this week's freetext.
