Getting ready for vacation Gentlemen, the wife and I are heading down to the swamp for some Mardi Gras and beads for about a week. Been getting stuff around the house taken care of, and today has been our rescheduled Valentines Day.

Order of Initiative:
Order is reverse, the fomori is the slowest so you all know what it is going to do and can react, Aleks is the fastest.

Fomori NPC (declared projectile attack against Ian)
Ian

We don't have the results of the last round of actions, yet. Hence, we can't really post a second round of actions. Because that depends on the first.

I'm going to do a quick and dirty end of round report, Ian's shots hit the fomor, but any damage they did was either regenerated, or they only did cosmetic damage. I will be honest, this is a tougher than usual fomori and it's going to take everyone working together, or someone getting a real strange idea I haven't anticipated to take it down quickly.

Echo: Aleks is on the back of the Fomor, it is slimy to the touch so grappling is going to be difficult.
Dossta: If you shoot again the next round, you will be firing into close combat so there is a chance you will hit the kitty
Val: I PM'ed you, so if you'd like to have some MonsterQuest/Animal control gear, I'd let you use an asspull, that's one of the fun things about being a mage, and that's the real magic. (Correspondence 2, matter 2 - carry big things in small places)

Vacation is over and I've recovered from my 6 days of Mardi Gras. Things back on the homestead are back to normal and to boot my repaired PS3 arrived Saturday (3rd times a charm) so after 3 months sans games I have that back too.

That being said, I am ready to get the game back on track in the next day or so. Is everyone still on board?

I have also been toying with the idea of boosting everyone's characters up a bit, so we can use some of the intermediate level stuff (gifts, spheres, etc)

Well, if you boost, we'll need a little more leading-by-the-hand (paw), because I never actually played Werewolf...
(truth be said, I did wonder why a fledgling Khan pup like me is sent off to battle a dragon, but hey)

I'm in the same boat, honestly.  Haven't played Werewolf before so boosting might not be the best idea yet.

A few notes about the last two rounds:
1. Ian threw his gun to Val's char in the round before last, so he won't be firing into combat any time soon
2. Aleks is around the back of the thing?  I thought he came through the window and was trying to get between Ian and the monster.  Please clarify.
3. Ian had pulled out a hunting knife before he decided to transform.  What happens to the knife when he's through with the transformation, and does it make sense to use anymore?  Is his attack with his natural weapons greater?

It is, just more RL interfering. Also, some minor technical issues, my space bar doesn't work very well (lol)

Tomorrow morning I am planning to make a pot of coffee and addressing some game issues.

So if we need to do a Q&A lets do that.

Table is open for discussion

Screw what?

(we do have IRL too, Scras :) )

Well, to kick off the QA:
*narrative privileges - to what extent can players narrate things outside their own actions? Can we narrate interactions with minor NPCs on our own, for example?
*length of "round" - how long is a post (in time) ? Do we have to post each round separately?
*approval of minor actions - when do we have to await GM confirmation? FOr each minor action? For major ones? For a cluster of major and minor actions?

RP-wise:
*dealing with spirits - how does it work?

1. Narrative Privileges: pretty loose, minor and background npcs are fair game for limited actions and interaction. Rule of thumb, if they only get a description (hot girl looks like a cheerleader) they are minor NPCs, but if the NPC is named, such as Jana, she looks hot, like she used to be a cheerleader is a regular NPC and the usual limits.

2. Length of Round: combat, 5-10 seconds. outside of combat, minutes rather than seconds

3. Minor Actions-no prob, basic actions, no prob. Something complicated, or a cluster of actions would require GM approval

4. Dealing with Spirits: If you are bonded to a spirit, you are generally aware of them, and can communicate with them when they are close and you are generally aware of their presence or absence. Unless others have the ability to perceive spirits, your attending spirit remains invisible and undetectable to them.

So - I have 4 pts in the background that gives me a spirit ally. Snegurochka, a winter spirit in this case.

How does the communication and interaction work?
"Yo babe, make me a sammich!" and she makes me a sandwich?
"Thine is the glory of winter, bestow a sammich upon thy unworthy supplicant!" and you may get a sandwich.
"Hurr, durr, herpenderpen, ia ia winter ftaghn... d**n, I sure hope she understands I could use a sammich!" and you may get a sandwich or not, or you may be turned into one, or you may be transported to the Deep Umbra of Sammich...

or something entirely different?

Well I would suppose that would depend on the spirit itself. It Sneg is a progressive spirit, it might just make you a sammich. On the other hand, if Sneg is a hoary old spirit, it might demand certain offerings to be made with a humble undeserving request, and asking for a sandwich might get your food frozen for the next week, a lesson in humility. So, tell me what sort of spirit is Sneg?

Things have finally calmed down here in east TN. Holidays are done, the horse show is done, and there is that persistent itch again: to play

If any of you guys are still interested in playing, I have a renewed enthusiasm to bring this game back online

Our beastie is a tank, lots of health levels. Guns can slow it down, but something like a pistol is going to take a called shot against something like an eye or the head. It is going to take melee damage from teeth and claws to take it out.

Attacks need to be declared, so the weretiger is currently riding rodeo on the back of the hell beast.

Our mage can probably work some entropic magic to boost the damage of bullets (hitting the target is the inescapable fate of the bullet, just like death is the inescapable fate of all living things)
