Meanwhile:
*I finally figured how guns work, a simple principle:
> Each weapon has a damage rating, expressed in dice. A light gun may do 2d, a shotgun 4d, and so on.
> Each die is rolled separately against a target number to see whether it wounds. The gun's quality determines the target number: the highest quality guns roll against 2+, while the worst have to roll 6 to wound. Each 6 is rolled again, for another chance to wound.
Yes, guns are quite lethal.> Each armor works the same way: it has an armor rating in dice, and a quality that determines the target number. Each success cancels 1 damage.
Quality grades:
Flawless: 2+
Masterwork: 3+
Ordinary: 4+
Shoddy: 5+
Terrible: 6+
Jerome's Lasgun:Masterwork Lasgun: 3d (3+)
Semi-automatic
12 shots, rechargeable battery
> Laser weapons are accurate: +5% to hit
> Can project targeting laser: +10% to hit, but gives away your position
> Smartlink-compatible (if you get brain and eye implants, it can feed info into your brain, reducing penalties for moving and distant targets).
> Weakness: shots blocked by water, smoke, chaff. Reflective armor counts double.
*I will be adding a special ability to each char after this chapter, based on his description.
