I don't have mountains anywhere nearby. The closest ones are 4 hours away

I snowboard! But not very often. My familly takes the 4 hour drive to the mountains once a year, so I do get to go then!

I can not ski or snowboard, as my knees do not approve ;+))

I do love the mountains, hicking still goes, even though the doctor says it is stupid and I should not even try hicking in the mountains.

For now I just do it and stop when it hurts...

The mountains are not close... It is about a ten hour drive to get there.
Our campside is about sixteen hours from home, but my car has airco.... (and cruise control. This is not very common in Europe, I agree, but it is a great invention.)

Yours,

Ylorea

Hey, Captain, I wouldn't worry about many of the indians, they are getting their revenge; they are building casinos. Of course, the Hope tribe at the four corners, and others like them, really need help.

Oh, I know that. It's just that every day some of their ancient culture slips away. It saddens me.

There are actual burial mounds and old underground houses around the St. Louis area that are being leveled for progress. Within these sites they have found egyptian artifacts, yet still the progress of the city is taking presidence over the history of this continent; it's kinda sad, really.

Like here in holland, they found these ships dated back to roman ages, where a new suburb is being build.

What do they do? preserve the ship and build the suburb right over it???

Yes, that is what they are going to do. First they uncovered part of the ship, then they put clay all over it again, then sand and on top of it all, they are going to build houses. Mind you it is not a small ship it measures around 12 feet wide and a little over 100 feet long !!

Yes it is true, progress over history, in this case litarly
