Gah, introductions are always awkward. They are, however, a required unpleasantry if one wishes to be courteous. So here goes:
I am Dossta: ring-bearer, computer-whisperer and anti-entropy specialist. It has been my fortune to be involved in several gaming groups during high school and college, but my sad fate to never see a campaign to its end. Reality always seemed to creep up on me and I was always forced to quit gaming for some reason or other. For this reason, I consider myself to be a relatively new player, though I've flirted with RPGs many times over the years.
I have played D&D 3.5 (Forgotten Realms & Eberron settings), and Vampire the Masquerade.
In the interest of seeing a campaign to its end, I am now considering trying my hand at GMing -- canned adventures at first, but I have ideas for my own campaign that I would love to bring to life. None of my current friends are really tabletop gamers, so I expect that we will all be learning together. Joining this site was really a first step towards this goal, and I hope to learn a few things about being a GM and to get some creative feedback for my ideas.
