*a bold looking samurai takes a seat by himself in the tavern* "barmaiden saki please" *the samurai then removes his two swords at his side and sets them on the table. The green Sheath and hilt reflect the light from poloshed colored wood under a laqure coating. The samurai then ujusted his kimono and produced a sack of coins seting three out for the barmaiden when she arives with the saki* "please none of that grog...only saki" *the samurai then ties back his hair into a pony tail and smiles* "im Umbra...or atleast thats my nickname."

Whatever. Anyway....

A penguin, standing four feet tall and wearing a ridiculous pirate costume, including a pirate captain's hat with an enourmous feather plume, a stocking cap beneath that, and goggles with rose colored lenses. A wooden sword, apparently a toy, is thrust through his belt.

"D'arr! I be Cap'n Penguin, Master of the Famous, World-Renowned, Unfortunately Permanent Brigade! I'm sure yeh've heard 'o' me! Are you buyin'? 'Cuz I'll drink with yeh'!"

An older mage in the near corner looks up from his tome.

"Welcome young samurai," said the elder through immensely thick and long multi-hued hair. "My name is stromalan Gerthal." Suddenly, he spoke very loudly,"barkeep bottles of sake for everyone; in honor of our new guest." After the drinks were served, Strom began smoking a pipe and, once again, reading his tome.

A woman in a corner lifts her bottle of sake, "Thanks Strom! Knew I could count on you to get me one!"

She stood, and crossed the room to the others in a swift movement.
"Hello, Almatari is my name," She smiled and extended a small, calloused hand to the Newcomer. It is expected to be calloused since she is the Sheildmaiden and one of the Soldiers of the Citadel.
"Sword slashing and Arrow Shooting are my business." She said, proudly, "I hope your stay is a joyus one."

ummm, a true warrior would never take his swords out and set them out of easy access. There are too many people to leave them on the counter.

Personally I keep mine on me at all times and beside me when I sleep or *ahem* bathe. Like right in my hand. Just in case.

*Fiddles with her sword at her hip.* oh, I also have a dagger in my boot. one on my thigh and my bows. Just in case.

another thing you don't do is tell people when you are unarmed, and the exact location of all your weapons. There is always a villian in your midst wherever you are.

no...samurai swords are considerably lite. and a tanto is almost negligable. *said larue and he stowed the tanto back into its sheith in a hidden flap*

ya, but the armor is already heavy, and would slow you when trying to draw the tanto.

who ever said i was wearing armor when i don't need it. im still a young samurai and my daimyo won't permit me to wear armor. so i follow his rules and do not. *sips his sake slowly*
