I will admit I was a little annoyed when I sat down and started reading some quest subs to put out some votes and comments (Lunch turned out poorly, the chicken was 2/5 so blech)

It is very very annoying the number of submissions that do not have any sort of link back to the 30 that the entry was drawn from. I know not everyone has the full grasp of BB code to do this, but seriously, there isnt even a text reference back in a good number of these submissions.

I think if you cannot link back to the 30 sub you wrote from your submission should be disqualified from the quest. I dont want to try and guess where it came from, or what the name of that list might have been.

Perhaps the announcement of the begining of the quest  on the main site, could be amended to add a little reminder urging quest participants to link back to the original sub that inspired their quest entry?

How directly should an entry relate to its inspiration - could I, for example, write an item from an NPC 30?

The announcement has been updated a little, and it's a good idea! I would like to remind all the Quest participants to link to the submission that inspired them.

Also, seeing that some of the entries have a little strange names or summaries, I suggest to update them - while they make perfect sense now, remember the Quest will be over one day - and these submissions will stay around.

The Quest was started, as several others, by not accepting submissions based on own work. Shall we allow users to expand their 30's?

I'm going to say no. Let others expand on your work, now there is nothing that says you cant flesh out a 30 entry of your own into a full submission, but I would say not for the quest.

As if it wasn't already clear - the Quest is over. There's 22 submissions based on the Thirties!

Let's give it the rest of the week if anybody wants to vote on any of the submissions, then there will be the final selection.
