Elves and Dwarves: Not So Different After All?

I went that route for Midian.  All Fae were originally beings of pure spirit who took flesh to affect the world.  Some (such as Elves & Goblins) are now permanently locked into their physical bodies, while others (such as Faeries) have a semi-phisical nature.  That is, their reality is subject to their whims & can enter & leave physical existance readily.
