Hello. My name is Mike Watson but i answer to the nicknames Tolknor or Gulliver as well. I ran across the site while cruising around for game stuff regarding a new campaign i am prepping. I have been out of gaming for a number of years and have missed it terribly. I hope to be able to add something to things here. I have been an avid gamer since i ran across White Box AD&D at a convention in Los Angeles in the mid 70s. sigh... those old school days....
I used to run Amber Diceless Role playing campaigns. It worked very well for the players in the game but as time went by the game faded out. After it was done i continued to work on one section of the games webpage. It was an article written in the person of Bleys of Amber called Diners of Amber. It is what it is. It was fun working on, and i made it available to other Amber GMS in case they wanted to add any of the ideas to their games. It may entertain some of you to look it over. If so, cool.
http://www.geocities.com/dinersofamber/The campaign i am putting together is for a group of friends who in explicitly moved close enough to me to make a regular game possible. Its based in the movie world of Escape From New York using the Stalking the NIght Fantastic rules. I have run it for several campaigns in the past and the players in the upcoming game requested a new beginning. I told them fine. Funny thing. The last time i ran the game there was no google maps allowing me to look at the parts in peoples hair in Manhattan... and of course the geography of the big city has changed some since the last campaign.
Anyway, i hope to be a friendly voice. I am on Yahoo Messenger often. I would love to find a chat based game looking for players.
