Welcome, Aramax who is called by the name of Bob! Make yourself heard, and we shall hear you. Your name will fill the ranks of the Barbarian Horde with awe and wonder. They will chant, "Bob! Bob! Bob!" In hopes that you will post more and more, they will never be satisfied. And neither will we! You want to be a remembered, and be a noteworthy Strolenite? Then go forth and submit your mind for us all the comment upon! We will be RUTHLESS! And HOSTILE! (At first, but if you pass your trial by flame and are considered worthy... Then, you are truly Welcome.) So far, I think you will do fine. Your spelling and grammar is fine [I recomend spaces are periods, though]. And you certain qualify as a Roleplayer (Same game for 26 years? Yikes! Must hear more about that.) So... let me be one of the first to say: Welcome.

Sorry, that got kinda long. I guess I'm in a "listen the sound of the keyboard as I type endlessly" mood.

P.S. If you're a pirate, a penguin, or both. You are doubly, triply, or quadruply welcome to this site. Enjoy the Citadel!

So have you been gaming long? What genres and specific games are your favorites?

Welcome, Aramax the 08' version! :P

Triumph of the Dungeon Master!

Ah, how I have come to love that sense of accomplishment and victory that I get when I pull the wool over the eyes of a clever player character. What DM Triumphs have you had?

Some of mine:
1. Finally killing an incredibly powerful, lucky, annoying player's character.
2. Finally achieving a TPK (Total Party Kill)
3. Finally achieving a TPK using only traps
4. Finally working out how to make it so that d**n wizard doesn't steal the spotlight all the d**n time.

I am here because the best D&D DM I've ever played with, Aramax, has signed on.

I was introduced to D&D in 1991 at Bob's table on Friday night after my friends took advantage of my broken leg and 'spirited' me away to play.  I was consumed by the actual magic Bob brought to his game and was a steady PC for the next three years playing every Friday night with spatial games on New Year's.

I am looking forward to seeing whatever else he brings to his table!

Sto lat!

He's brought friends... :Thud:
Chosen of Aktagarti – Divine Synod Guild – Level 1
Might: 2 | Agility: 3 | Wits: 4 | Charm: 3 | Spirit: 4 | Power: 2

The old man, grey-haired, braid hanging down.
He is clothed in faded brown robes.
His craggy face is turned up, bathed in moonlight;
He looks for his goddess to smile upon him.

Gosh!

I have been reading Aramax's posts and he is not usually this inarticulate. He has actually run games at cons. And he is a very good DM.

from this side of the internet it looks like you have been having a bit of a manic episode the past few weeks.

they say after a loss you shouldn't make any big decisions for a year, maybe the loss of the campaign has combined with everything else to hit you harder than you know

you won't find answers here, sometimes campaigns just end

I can learn from my many mistakes and view it under a mature light. I really don't expect anything from here other than a place to grow and keep in mind the realities of being a good Strolenite. Take lessons from the great writers here and relax and enjoy what it is and not how I want it to be.I understand I burned a lot of bridges and I'm just going to have to deal with that.My other main internet distraction is cut off to me due to it requiring money. Also my new campaign is causing me to focus my creativity more toward RP than miniatures. It will all take time.At this point Time is all I'm asking for.
