We have here on the citadel an astounding number of Intelligent Races. Now, the ultimate goal of a written race in a game is to provide both a wide cultural conflict within the setting, as well as to create Characters, either PCs, or NPCs.

What I would like to see is for people to write characters of races that someone else has written up. If the write up is sufficient to be used as a guide to create a well written character, then the write up has reached its goal. If the write up is not sufficient, the questions required to write a character will help fix any gaps in the write up - Good for everyone around.

Can we only create from the major races, such as equivalents to elves and dwarves and whatever the Strolenites have created, or subspecies/ethnic groups as well? (Such as Strolenite created ethnic elves or humans)

Me, I am more interested in ethnic humans than in translucent fungi beings from Yaggoth.

I would suppose either would work, but creating one of the Translucent Fungi from Yuggoth would be more of a challenge than making a Lyran.

Ok, I'm going to be honest. I don't like this idea as much as everyone else. Not to say I dislike it, i just think I need a little more help getting started. How about we start with some links to suitable races? Give a starting point. The only intelligent race I can recall enjoying was the new take on Drow, the Nekron I think.

Maybe I'm just not as big on reading the new races as everyone else... But a little push in the right directon would be helpful, and wouldnt it make it better if we expanded to include all submission categorys? Not just NPCs? I would love to write up some new racial based items, or see some plots introducting said races into a game. Maybe even a city of them as a location.

This has much more potential than just NPCs, please consider expanding the quest. Thank you!

If you have races you would like to see others create for, post them up here, too - Don't forget, interesting things maybe lurking around the corner in categories like 'construct' too.

Erm? Okay does this mean if the person wants to win they need to submit a vote but note vote for their own sub? Or does it mean they cannot vote at all? "To win by a winning vote they need to vote for a winner?" as in unless they voted for themselves if their sub wins they don't win? Not sure if it's just me Strolen, but your wording on that has me utterly baffled.
