Appearance:Appearance: Short, lean and bald. Naraias has a somewhat crooked nose, tanned skin and hazel brown eyes. Standing at 5' 3" he is a head lower than his previous girl friend.
Clothing: Naraias favours brown and blue clothing, usually wearing a hazel brown cloak that matches his eyes. The cloak can be worn both ways and is dark grey on the inside.
Demeanor: While having been brought up in a wealthy, strict family, Naraias is nonetheless extroverted and good natured. He appreciates the good sides of life; music, wine and wenching. He has been forced to kill at times, particularly during his days as a pirate, though he takes no pleasure in doing so. Some say there is a darker aspect to Naraias; that he would sell his own children if the price was right. This rumour is dismissed by most people, however, for they cannot believe that this jovial fellow harbours any evil.
History:Naraias was first brought up in villas and mansions, and later on the streets of Akhone, a confederate island city-state famous for its old money and the grand cathedral known as "The Seven Spires of Our Father". Akhone is an island city of wealth and beauty, where wealthy shipping magnates keep vast villas. Naraias, coming from old money himself, did not lack anything during his upbringing. Yet he found no peace while listening to the endless lectures at the cathedral school, nor any pleasure in the private tutoring in piano and swordplay. So Naraias was a mediocre student at best, earning him no repute in the city, a fact he would regret later, as his family's fortunes declined and his father no longer could afford tuition for his sons. As an indifferent and undistinguished student he struggled to find a suitable job.
It was at this time Naraias sought labour aboard "The Black Wyvern", a fast sloop out of the Dvorak Massive, or so they said. As it turned out it was crewed by seadogs of various nations and called no port home. It was captained by Nekeraul, a human of ill repute, and already on his first voyage Naraias experienced trouble, for the ship was hounded by a squadron of Notari warships. For months they were dogged, the Black Wyvern narrowly escaping capture several times.
In the end the Wyvern was hunted down and those of the crew that were unable to escape, which Nekeraul managed to, were forced to walk the plank, their screams fading as they plummeted through the skies. Fortunately for Naraias, he had managed to hide under the keel and rudder, where he clinged precariously on until they reached port.
After reaching port Naraias has made a living as a card player and sometime member of a group of singers at the Broken Wing tavern in [starting town]. Having just ended a destructive relationship with Eranya Nilurwid, a local girl and bar wench, Naraias wants to get out of town as soon as possible, rather than keep watching his best friend and his former girlfriend fall even more in love (as well as failing hideously at keeping the secret hidden from him).
