Except Chaos, I'm now assigning 4d6 x 100 (P). As a reference, a month's 'middle class' lifestyle expenditure is usually around 500(P), while the usual cost to fly a small ship for a month is about 200(P). The average ship in your fleet is probably worth around 20,000(P). Certain rocket-propelled scrapheaps are worth somewhat less.

A) what we need from the bazaar is a huge hunk of fuel - if we can bring our prize live, we'll still have to haul her somewhere. Other than that, we can't really buy spare parts not knowing what sort of ship it is.
Other than that, we do have tools. Anyone can think of anything?

B) as for the battle ahead: is it near our destination, or not?

You can fill every freighter you have with water for around 150(P). It will make it take about 50% longer to reach your destination. The combat is no where near your destination, but it is roughly three light-minutes away on your 10:30.

The Technically correct answer to that is 'Just Short Of C'. This is compounded by acceleration times, etc, etc. For short distances, aka, a couple light minutes, I'm using about .25c, about .5c for 'near sun' interplanetary, Aka: Venus to Mars, and around .8-.9c for Outer World interplanetary.

The travel time of the fight is about 20 minutes away, and they are headed in a sunward vector.
