Most ridiculous move: Bad Taste
Scariest Movie: The Shining
Funniest Movie: Happy Gilmore (there are probably about 3 ties here but that is my fav)
Movie Twist: Have to agree, The Others
Best Actor: Have to go with Edward Norton. That guy does some cool stuff. Harrison Ford as a close second.

Biggest actor with least lines: Keanu Reeves "Dude. Whoa"

Most annoying children's tv show : Many way tie. Barney, Teletubbies, Wiggles, Blues Clues, Dora the Explorer, others to be announced

Best product placement: Taco Bell in Kung Pow

Worst remake of a movie: The Wiz

I'm a big Godzilla fan too. *screams* Oh no! Godzilla!

Godzilla is kinda like Highlander. There should have been only one. For Godzilla, however, there should have been only one style. Both american versions (if you youngsters CAN remember the earlier one) were pale imitations of the original. It's like updating the godfather by replacing the actors with teletubbies. But that would be funnier.

My favorite Movie: The Princess Bride

Best Movie Ever: Casablanca. If you ever get a chance to see this in a theater, do it. You will find it a suprising experience, as this tense drama is actually fairly funny (we are all just too selfconcious to chuckle in smaller groups).

Best SciFi Film: Fantastic Journey

Best Horror Movie of All Time: Seven. I know no actual monsters. However, at the end of this movie there were people weeping, speachless and screaming incoheriently. If you have to go with Monsters, Alien. If you don't like Pigeons, The Birds... because you never know if there really is a malevolence behind them.

Best Monster Movie: American Werewolf in London. It edges out the original Dracula and the most recent remake, just barely.

Best ScienceFantasy: Star Wars, the first and truly the best of the set.

Best Comedy: Soemthing funny happened on the way to the Forum

Best Romance Movie: Sabrina. The Remake is almost as good at the Katherine Hepburn and Bogart film. Followed by "An affair to Remember" (original or any of the remakes).

Best Animated Movie: Wizards. Strange but so cool.

Best Swashbucking Movie: Robin Hood with Errol Flynn. This is the movie that set the standards and created the cliches for action movies.

Best Kung Fu: Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon. The best MA film done without wires and special effects. With special effects, Matrix II wins.

Best Western: Rio Lobos. Don't go Booooo. Go see it. Then tell me it is bad. You won't be able to.

Best Date Flick: Undercover Blues, Romantic and action. Runners up, Romancing the Stone and Grose Pointe Blank.

Best Koji Monster Movie: Godzilla and Godzilla. The original was a great dramatic film.
The second, the US one, was a great action flick with a realistic monster that was not a force of nature.
Two very different kinds of movies. As different as Alien and Aliens
Best Monster Movie: Original Dracula, but the most recent remake gets high marks.

Best Actor in an action series: Harrison Ford
Best Actor: Jimmy Stuart, with Bogart, Hanks, and Ford coming in close.

Best Actressin an action series: Segorney Weaver
Best Actress: nah... I just can't bring myself to that rant.

Best Robot: Gort from Day the Earth Stood Still.

Most annoying children's tv show : Barney. Hack programing.
Teletubbies are incomprehensible to anyone over 5, but under five crowd loves it. And the Wiggles are GODS!!!!!

Worst war movie: Pearl Harbor. It gets props for having Ben Afleck and Josh Heartnett in one film, but it is more sappy than good old war. plus It has more of the relationship triangle than anything.

Best War movie: I really like Black Hawk down but that might be because it has Orlando Bloom and Ewan McGreggor in it.

I was at my grandmas house a few years ago (She lives in Seattle) and she was watching Teletubbies and we watched it with her. I also played the accordian then. And we watched 'Farris Buler' one too many times

Oh, but I do have kids. Two. Oldest boy is 7 and the other is 18 months. I have to admit trying to get the babies first words to be "Redrum" was probally not the best way to start out, but they're doing allright. He still won't say redrum, stubborn tyke.

I believe that the only good childrens television programming is the shows that raise diturbing questions that never entered out minds when we were kids. Like the Muppets. Was Kermit really that thrilled doing an hour long show with some guys arm crammed up his @$$? Or the Smurfs. Were they really commies and why, oh WHY, was there only ONE Smurfette? And GI Joe. At the end of every show, they spouted out some public saftey message. The only one I remember was these two kids getting ready to go swimming when a thunder storm rolled in and one of the GI Joes jumps out of the bushes and warns them off. What, EXACTLY, was the guy doing hiding in some bushes watching these young boys swim for? Huh!?! And the PowerPuff Girls. Why the HECK is Professor Utonium making LITTLE GIRLS in his BASEMENT?!? What's up with that?!?

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Start 'em young.

When you're young, you just don't realize how much racial and sexual innuendo is in Bugs Bunny. It's also very violent, if not the bloody "look-at-this" violence of the modern age.

I have noticed when I watch the kids is that the little girl loves 3ninjas and I was watching it with her and it was like ultra violent so I went out to the living room with the boy and watched him play "Lord of the rings: the Two Towers" on playstation. Violent also!

Let us not forget the Power Ranger Franchise. Fantasy violence at its finest. Responsible for a huge number of play ground injuries as kids kick each other or do a karumijitsu leap without years of training or wires.

Of course, I let my kids watch it... but they are going to be enrolled in JKD classes when they are 4.

Best Brainless Action Movie: Street Fighter

Best Alien movie: Alien. Alien is an awsome horror flick. One of the few inducted in the horror hall of fame and went straight to the enshrined category. Aliens was an above average shootum up with cool targets.

Best Monster of Extraterestrial Origin: Micheal Jackson.

I can't find the name of the worst sci-fi film I know. I have blocked it out of my mind. It was the 7 samuria rip off with JohnBoy and some aliens.
