American (sub species: rural northern Californian)Height:
IT (in education, as opposed to the Real World)Roleplaying preferences:
Trying out Mini Six (a stripped-down-to-the-bone Open D6 derivative); previously Star Frontiers, 2300AD, and 1st Ed AD&D. I prefer lightweight systems with an unfinished feel, as those are the easiest to customize (I've banned the word "flexible" from my vocabulary, along with "scalable" and "robust"; ask anyone in IT why.) Plus, they rarely get in the way of a good story.Other hobbies:
Writing (of course.) An unquenchable curiosity about everything has led me to study, at least cursorily, math, psychology, computer science, biology, mythology/paganism, and history. Open source evangelist (I loves me the Linux.) Playing with web technologies (Django + jQuery = teh win.) I think it's fun to telnet into web servers and manually craft HTTP headers (did I mention I'm a geek?) Also a beginner in Northern Shaolin kung fu, Lan Shou, and Hung Gar. Chinese martial arts are so fascinating
. Of course, being a clumsy bookworm for the past 30+ years does not make it an easy task
My curious nature often leads me to overload on information and causes a serious time deficit. Curses on this mortal body's constant need for sleep and sustenance!
