Time for another Quest, eh folks?

Lets open it up for concepts and ideas in this thread, then I'll make a poll. Then we'll vote. Then, we'll Quest! Then we'll celebrate with some grog!

How about a music-based quest?  Pick a song and write a sub based on it.

Well, that could certainly work. We do have such a codex though, Songs of Fantasy, but maybe a Quest can get us a whole album

The Mongol Inspired Quest:
Anything pertaining to those centuries of world history in which the Mongols were the undisputed masters of the world. Whether it be horse clans that inspire, the siege of Kiev or Baghdad, Khans or even weapons. Whatever as long as the sub is inspired by Mongols... Which could result in anything really.

Mystical Beasties akin to Oracle Spirits, Ghost Serpents, Temple Dragons, Divine Beasts and God-Things. (No, you are not supposed to recognize these, they were just along to trigger your imagination).

The alignment and demeanor of the Mystical Beasties can be whatever.

I say that the next quest should be Youtube-inspired. We each choose a video from Youtube, and use that as inspiration for our sub.

Here is the low-down on the Quest:

Ice, Winter, Cold.

It's January so there should be plenty of chilly weather to inspire our fevered imaginations.

Prizes
1st Place
Glass Mug etched with something suitable to the quest.

2nd Place (assuming 10 or more entries)
A smaller Glass mug, similar etching

All Nominees (assuming 30 or more entries)
Shotglass with etching.

_{The total number of entries submitted BEFORE the end of the quest count towards the total required for extra prizes beyond the first, if 30 or more entries are received, all final five nominees receive an etched shotglass with first and second places etched mugs. I'm certainly up for either a Winter-themed Quest or a Mongol-themed quest; however, count me out of YouTube - I live with a dialup connection and have more important things to devote my bandwidth to.

Maybe an Alchemist's Lab quest, to determine the strange and unique concoction, items, and tomes that might reside in such a fascinating place.

Or perhaps a Classic Beginning Quest, wherein the subs need to relate to the tradional and vastly overused adventure opening of 'So you're all in a bar...'

Or a Rider's Quest, wherein the subs relate back to riding, somehow - although not necessarily horseback riding.

Or a Scribe's Quest, brining forth new scrolls, tomes, codices, engravings, parchment collections, and such that might be found in wizard's towers, old libraries, bard's pouches, birdcages, and other odd places for a bit of writing or artwork to turn up.

I have to admit, I'm not terribly fond of the YouTube quest either.  (Although in my case, I know it's because I'd get distracted watching videos and not get anything done.)  I like Winter, Kassil's Beginner Quest and his Rider's quest.
