Hello,

Just doing the check-in.  I've actually been a registered user for about a month and have been scouring the site for even longer.  I've finally decided it's time to introduce myself and just let you all know that this site is awesome and inspiring.  Sometimes it makes for just good reading and other times, it helps me get over writer's block.

I am glad the site has you coming back for more. As you read, if you have a comment or two, the authors would love you if you would give them you honest opinion and/or vote. A comment is just as good as a submission and everybody appreciates it!

Thank you for the warm welcome!

I've been itching to post some material for quite some time but I'll admit that I'm a little confused by the posting system.  I've read the help section and I've studied the posts, but I think I will still manage to do it wrong :-)  Right now I'm interested in writing up a piece for the Small Town Festivals codex.  Could someone please walk me through exactly what I would need to do in order to post it and appropriately link it?  Do I merely just click on "Add Codex" and default the pulldown to "no vote" and just add my article to the comment field?

Yes, I know THAT feeling.

I have experienced the worst case scenario myself, where the designer of the posting system berated me and subtracted from 1 point from the score (for posting in the wrong category), but that rarely happens and IF it happens: write a pm to the responsible person and ask for his guidance and reevaluation.

Hope I didn't scare you. It usually works out just fine. ;)

Just go for it!

And yes, to add to a codex, take the name (exact with spaces, etc) or the number (less likely to typo), put in the Suggest Submission textbox and click the suggest button. Poof! Linked!
