Well, seeing as how its Sunday again, I suppose it's time for another one. We'd perhaps best stick to only one this time, as the "Power of Three" didn't seem to work very well.

I did try to make a society of Space/time-traveling Goblin Librarians... but it didn't feel right. I think we need a 'Massage' freetext or some sort of scroll full of massage techniques from all the different humanoid races. But... I'm crazy... so.. who gets to choose the next freetext? My vote is for Massage, Portable, or OMG I WANT MORE TACQUITOS!

I don't know about that! We didn't have much in the way of response, but we got an excellent Library out of the deal, along with an amusing Goblin sub.

I just wish that I'd had time to finish my space goblin sub.

Of course, it's not my place to stop you from giving any Massages you want, but we had a suggestion for GOLEM, so I'd like to second the motion! Let's unveil some golem subs in the next week! Add the Golem Freetext to any relevant subs you have, and if the Muse strikes, introduce the world to an impressive new automaton.

Let's give this until October 17, then the next one will be Halloween.

(Get those spooky Halloween subs warmed up...)

Great, my golem came two weeks too early. And we have quite a few golems already (X-Jacks and countless others). In fact, I should go and slap a freetext on a few golems that are crying out for one.

I kinda have an idea for Massage however, based on some things I have been reading about recently. An ancient art, one ripe for RP'ing ideas.

And if Dragonlordmax's library is any indication, I'm sure he'd do Massage proud too.

I love this thread for inspirational purposes, but really, I dont think picking/announcing any "one" particular freetext is all that necessary. Do whatever freetext you like!

Since people doubtlessly have ideas left over from last week that they haven't finished, perhaps we'll see Goblin Massage subs and Space Massages...

Perhaps this should be "Offend Wulf's Puritanical Streak Week", with Massage subs galore...

well, I had a goblin-library idea stewing, and now a Massage one (non-lascivious...stop thinking of "massage" as cheap-sex parlors

) but i dont think i should combine them.

Maybe these should be bi-weekly? tri-weekly? what do you think? It takes some of us a while to finish a sub, but I for one, liked the goblin-library-space idea very much, and am STILL working a few ideas out for it.

Personally, I like this because it gives me ideas and sets a realistic challenge, all of which leads up to more submissions, which is good. I don't know if I could do three a week, although two might be reasonable.

But so as to please as many as possible, I redeclare this to be

MASSAGE AND GOLEM WEEK!

This week's theme is kneading and rubbing. Whether it's done to soothe aching muscles or turn clay into an unholy entity of destruction, it shall be the topic for the coming tenday!

Now, if somebody needs a tertiary freetext to focus on, there are also Random Encounters. You can easily post into one of the scrolls available. And if you find an environment that is particularly missing, you can add it (then of course, it is proper to post a few initial encounters to it).

One day, it will be nice to have at least 30 encounters for each of the scrolls, making them all useful for gaming - what do you say, people?

I would suggest Horror, since that is much more precise (and the subs featuring the Halloween freetext so far don't really have much to do with it).
