Dr. Tran's voice was low, as if the condemned creatures ahead of them could hear over the suits' comm circuits.  "Apparently, Mr. Crowe prefers his privacy; perhaps we should take a different route after all.  Unless you wish to fight those two for the privilege of pounding on a sealed pressure door?  While other options remain open to us, I'd rather not cut through."

Putting on an awful attempt at an english accent,

"Why certainly, my Dear Watson! Back to the maintenance tunnel?"

Looking at the injured merc, "You going to be okay?"

As Syrus noticed the things, he raised his revolver. From the damage to the previous one, he knew that the best way was to take out its legs. He aimed for the one with the wrench, zeroing in on its' hip. The hallow point round would shatter the bone, and hopefully drop it, two more shots would have its' arms useless, and with six shots, he knew he could possibly drop both creatures.

"I've got a bead on the one with the wrench, if we aren't going to fight, I'd like to know now. My trigger figer is a little itchy," Syrus said with a small alugh following. He wanted some action, and he had missed the last one. Even if the others said lets go, Syrus was thinking about taking the things on anyway. Two creautes, one armed, most likely super human strength, possibly still able to fight at human speed.

Syrus wanted some confict to calm his nerves. Combat had always calmed him down before, and his marine training would definately prove useful if he didn't have time to reload his weapon.

"K Syrus - you saw what the last bugger did to our merc here. I says we follow Doc's plan.  Save yer ammo for something in our way."

Syrus listened and was almost hurt by the thought of missing out on some action. "That is a real good point. But the question is, is where we want to go through the door. If they're pounding on it, and they're hostile, wouldn't that mean someone is most likely on the other side, possibly the one signing our paychecks?" Syrus said in return. He had gotten past the initial reflex stage, and remembered one among them now had a broken shoulder.

Syrus had been shot, burnt, blasted, blown up, and broken before, more often than not two or more at the same time. But with a few people shooting, and the fact that his old school revolver was heavy enough to put away even the biggest aggressive drunk with a single pistol whip, Syrus had already calculated the odds of the fight. The way he saw it, the team had about a ninty percent chance of success against two hostile creatures. The last ten percent was for something unlikely, like more showing up.

Syrus wanted to know if his new friend was on the other side. Was this what the kid had meant by being able to handle himself? Syrus didn't have the slightest idea, but either way, the creatures weren't pounding on the door for no reason, and if they were, well, it would only be a few rounds wasted, and Syrus had enough ammunition to take out a space marine platoon. He smiled at the thought that his chosen weapon's ammo was so small, yet so deadly.
