So... decisions, people! First decision: Immediate actions:
- Go back down the hole?
- Go out the front way?
- Wait it out?
I don't see many more options. Going back down the hole means Gkraun. Since the Gkraun are climbing the air vents, waiting it out also means Gkraun. Going out the door means possible unknown danger (ie. why is there blood coming from out there? *Danger signal*).
Personally, after a few seconds of preparation (such as fixing up those PDAs with the toolkit), I think we should make a dash for the vehicles. First of all: Ralkhara can ride the bike with ease. He can drive the truck at half riding skill, AG assures me. The bike has a machine-gun which means more firepower, but it can only carry two (Perhaps 3, with one on the back and one in the sidecar.).
But then, we have no idea what's out there. Enemies with guns? Would be dangerous trying to drive away from someone firing a machine-gun at us.
While we're on that note - if we take the truck, we should kick over the bike to help slow down any pursuers, if there's anyone out there.
Eventual actions:
1 - We could go and try to save the town - hunt down the big bad Gkraun at the Faculty
2 - we could perhaps seek help from the warden/spacers.
3 - We could ignore the situation and leave Bleak Wood, never looking back. (Sounds safe to me!

)
4 - We could go to Nomad Town.
5 - We could go to the storage facility.
6 - We could go on a Looting/killing spree in the chaos of the Gkraun general attack! Kiph would be up for that, i'm sure!
7 - ??? (Make suggestions!)
Ralkhara would be partial to leaving Bleak Wood, or perhaps seeking company of fellow Nomads in Nomad town.
From most likely to least likely for Ralkhara: 3,4,5,2,1,6
But on that note, that definitely doesn't mean Ralkhara would not go to the faculty or even a looting spree. It just means he'd be more comfortable doing those other things.
_____
Jonathan on the device:
""Somewhat distracted by the running footsteps of the guards in the corridor outside, Jonathan patted Ceres on the shoulder. "No, it is not a weapon, nor a tool of war or medicine" he said quietly. Feeling his way towards the ancient contraption, he slid open the panel, a soft orange light emanating from it. "Hah, do you see? Not even the EMP discharge we just experienced could knock it out!" he said triumphantly, then quickly added: "By EMP I mean the explosion that caused our electrical systems to fail". Jonathan reached for Ceres' right sleeve and tugged softly, urging her to come forward. "I cannot be sure, but if this is what I think it is, it is what made the ancients fall. It is what they warred about. But... I cannot be sure. You must let me study it, Ceres, and I will have an answer within a month. I promise!"""So. Here's my thoughts: Exactly what is the device we found? More importantly; can the Gkraun general make 'evil' use of it and are the Gkraun pawns smart enough to take it to him? Is that device highly explosive?
If there's little chance of retrieving the device, and if Jonathan assures us that it is not explosive, Ralkhara would like to send the Gkraun a 'parting present' in the form of a grenade down the air vent just before they flee the scene. Hell, it might even break the tunnel and stop the Gkraun sewer advance altogether.
On the other hand, it might blow up a powerful nuclear device which had been carelessly left down there, and eradicate the entirety of Bleak Wood, effectively ending the story a few chapters earlier than even AG expected

So. Thoughts?
