Sum:                 200 (40 left)

Special:
Wireless Probe: 25+15

2 Special abilities
Special ability 1: 13 is alert, and gains +10 on any check that would result in being surprised in any manner. (also when sleeping).
Special ability 2: Hidden companion - When 13 escaped, the doctors had surgically implanted a computing device into the experiment's brain. As the AI would later tell 13, it was the first step in the creation of an indoctrination device that would give The Last Gambit hypnotical control over the hybrid. Luckily 13 escaped before that, and the AI decided it would tag along and now resides in 13's data chip. When guided by her, 13 gains +40 to all wireless activity.

2x Special Equipment:
Special Equipment 1: Black, oily, rubbery alien cloak that seems almost wet to the touch; of alien origin.
Once a day: Invisibility for 30 seconds (13 needs only think of it, and she is invisible)
Always: +20 hide (passive ability - the cloak has chameleon powers, its color patterns changing when it senses that the user tries to be stealthy)
Always: +2 Armor Points on all covered areas
The cloak only works for aliens (and 13).

Special Equipment 2: Multifaceted eyes, iridescent black depths that reflect light in a strange fashion. That is the first impression one gets when faced with the Alien Spider Mask (will Kirsten Dunst take it half off and smooch 13?)
Effects:
- Night Vision
- Cannot be flashbanged or otherwise blinded, unless the blinding destroys the mask.
- Can breathe underwater, but not under zero oxygen conditions. Needs carbon, oxygen and hydrogen, and the mask will break down atoms and recreate it as alien breathable gas.
- The gaseous oxygen methane mixture within the mask makes 13 breathe more effectively, effectively doubling  stamina in relation to strenous activities such as running and swimming.

Mundane Equipment:
Survival gear:
*Water purifier canteen
*Vitamin supplements
*Protein concentrate
*Geiger counter
*Compass (dunno if GPS is possible) (although, I could actually detect magnetic fields much like migratory birds... dude)
*Sturdy knife, swiss army knife
*Small camo tent for 1 person
*Sleeping bag
*20 ft of lightweight rope
*First-aid kit, with whatever a random Gambit first aid kit holds
*Lighter

Miscellanea
*1 backpack
*Jump suit, sturdy boots, scarf. Bath robe. Fluffy slippers.
*Watches (~10)
*Flare
*Duct tape, glue
*Small tool kit
*Toothbrush, floss, paste, soap, perfume (13 had some weird ideas of wasteland hygiene before the escape)
*Rubber duck
*Microscope (lots of things are easily improvisable, but precision optics? Nope. At least according to Curie.)

Weapons:
*Hunting rifle, adapted for 13's hands. 40 rounds.

The visuals:
In appearance, Experiment 13 is truly outlandish, no wonder given its DNA cocktail. Seven feet tall and sinewy, its limbs are overly long, with spidery digits that can be opposed in strange fashions (tipped by short claws); a long prehensile tail with a tuft of hair hints at some of its gene composition, as do the slightly murine facial features. Large ears supported by slender many-jointed appeandages protrude from its head, frotruding from within a mane of almost crystalline half-translucent hair. Around the sensitive nose, whiskers grow – yet those are rather delicate prehensile appendages, exposing fine sensory fibers to the air. Huge violet eyes complete the alien face.
13’s flesh is half-translucent, owing to the extraterrestrial part of its heritage, with specks of color floating underneath the skin much like flocks of fish at a coral reef. Outlines of organs can be seen underneath, with more detail possible when viewed against a source of light, the heart’s beat is easily visible between the opaque ribs.
Except for the mane and the tail tuft, 13 is completely smooth, with a polished feel to the skin;  the body temperature is two degrees Celsius warmer than human norm. 13’s body odor is akin to a mix of vanilla and cinnamon. 13's voice is strong and clear, filled with resonant harmonics that make it obviously inhuman, though; it has a synthetic musical quality to it.
One cybernetic implant, a data jack, is present in the occipital region of 13’s head.
For garb, 13 prefers a jump suit combined with a hooded cloak, it’s no great fan of nudity, trying to keep as much as possible covered; the alien mask helps in this.. somewhat.

The personality:
13 is a great believer in logic, and despite or exactly because of the uncouth approach of its creators, also a believer in proper conduct. 13 reveres knowledge, especially the great minds of old. It may be folly, but 13 wishes one day to see a house of learning rise from the wastes, with proper teachers and real science. And, of course, a sufficiently capable mainframe that could run Sachmeth in full glory.

As for human conduct, 13 is inexperienced, and constantly surprised at illogical and suboptimal behavior patterns. Luckily, its guardian AI instilled a lot of resolve and a passion for challenge into it. While 13 is quite adept at discussion and argumentation, there is certainly vast room for improvement in the finer nuances of interaction - for there, many situations cannot be solved with logic alone.

The history:
Vat-grown from a cocktail of human, alien and rodent DNA by the dubious Last Gambit to be able to utilize scavenged alien tech and thus further their unsavory goals, 13 was raised by an artificial intelligence named Sachmeth in the virtual town of White Harbor while physically floating in a jar.

The awakening and beginning of experimentation (with and upon 13) was far less pleasant, and soon the creation began not to fear, but to detest its captors; a carefully plan and staged accident, 13 was free, along with some stolen alien goodies and a copy of Sachmeth riding inside the head. As humans have names, and the experiment had just about enough of "13 do this, 13 do that", a name was needed: Curie La Forge it be!

Favored by fortune, Curie stumbled not on superstitious bumpkins nor ruthless raiders after the escape, but upon the PCs, who, to Curie's great delight, wished to speak first and shoot later.

Hehehe, lol!

The spider mask... I more envisioned it like a spider's head, with lots of tiny multifaceted eyes. The Spider-Man imagery is so... WRONG! ;)

It just forced itself into my brain; so, does 13 get to french Kirsten Dunst? If not, then your imagery is far better.

Sachmeth has a couple of virtual scenarios in which Curie LaForge can french actresses of old. So let's keep the spiderman mask in VR, and in the more grim, postapocalyptical reality 13 wears a spider face mask.

It just occurred to me... Using the Sachmeth AI and it's VR capabilities, 13 could potentially go into hour long trances, traversing the digital cyberscape.

Well, the storage capacity on that hardware is neat, but the processing capabilities are simply insufficient to run all stuff that 13 would like. We need better hardware, yes.

Codename: Wesknife known by his peers as "The Chameleon"
AKA:
    Brian "Friar" Mason,
    Red Eyes,
    Rat,
    Dr Bruce Flinton,
    Snake Eyes,
    Fergus Carnegie,
    Richard Blakeley,
    Caporal Francis Chevalier,
    Prof. Alistair White,
    Commander Frank Wilkins,
    Tim Robbins-Catterick,
    Galen Catterick,
    Fritz Roemacher,
    ...

Appearance: While taller, paler, and thinner than an average earthsider, his appearance is not noticeable. When not "in character", he is not worth a second look, and your memory will not register his features unless you purposefully try to. He'll usually be dressed in the same way as the local, and has a knack for absorbing the color and passing himself of as part of the scenary. Your memory will rather register "Male, Human, Local", and move on.

Culture: Spacer
Profession: HUMINT Specialist

Background: (This information will not be known to the party members.)
Spacer Coalition Defense Force (SCDF) Special Operative from USOS41. Specialise in deceit, manipulation, persuasion and social engineering. He's one smooth operator who could sell you your own mother in exchange for your own eyeballs, convince you it's a good deal with deceit approaching brainwashing/hypnosis, and leave you feeling like you'd robbed him. He's also an expert in changing his appearance, disguise, and generally staying under radar. He's done his training in covert assassination, but that really isn't his strong point. He's physically week from having lived in reduced gravity most of his life, even with all the booster drugs that he took to allow him to operate on earth.

He was inserted into Rouge City at night by parachute. While this is not his first mission earthside, he is still not fully adapted to the gravity and atmosphere, so there are special measures he has to take.

He's an expert in impersonation, and has a number of fake identities and legends that he uses. He specialises in murdering a target and then replacing them. On one of his most successful jobs, he was able to literally step into a person's life seamlessly, so that even their spouse didn't notice the change. Within the SCDF, he's known as "The Chameleon".

Special Abilities
You don't play a player
Can use own deceit, persuade, charm or disguise to counter/resist deceit, persuade, charm or disguise attempts.

Under your skin
Every hour spent studying someone will dramatically improve impersonating attempts. +5 per hours spent studying the person. After twenty hours, Impersonation attempts are rolled against 100. Hours do not need to be continuous.

Special Equipment
Portable undercover tactical console
This small containers is divided into three parts. The first includes several identical hard contact lenses, the second several identical discreet earbuds, and the third several attachable throat microphones, which can be placed, plaster-style, across the larynx.

With this system in place, live tactical information can be displayed in 3D to the user. The contact lenses are smart enough to be able to figure out in which eye they were placed. The entire system can be used sureptitiously without arousing suspicion, even under close scrutiny. The components are redundant enough that the entire rig can be used with a throat mike and either a single contact lens, or a single earbud.

While the tactical information provided is greatly valuable, this rig shines when it comes to communication, and is capable of high speed access to the spacer intelligence network, the spacer earth observation data, and to Wesknife's controller. The entire rig can be folded and stored in a smooth cylindrical container that is usually found around the neck of the operative on a lanyard. In most situations, he will wear a tactical contact lens in the left eye, while wearing a disguise lens in the right to allow him to pass iris scans.

Needle gun
This small, palmable gun is designed for covert assasination at short range. It is fired by squeezing the holding hand into a fist. the barrel protrudes unobstrusively between the middle finger and ring finger, and unless specifically looked for, the holder simply seems to have a lighlty clenched fist.
The gun fires very thin, 1cm long metallic needles. They feel like a strong bee sting, but have been dipped in a fast acting neurotoxin. While the sting of the needle itself is hardly remarkable, death is almost assured within 72h. The gun comes with enough microdarts and poison for ~20 assassinations. The needles/poison can be replaced using conventional steel and any poison suitable for the task.

Dark Side:
Unaccustomed to earth gravity level. Although he has spent an hour daily in the skeletal structure reinforcing centrifugal machines of the space station gym, constant 24/7 earth gravity is difficult for him. This means that he will sometimes try to jump for objects that are too far away to reach by any humans on earth, and that he sweats profusely when engaged in strenous activity. It is not that he is not strong, he just isn't used to dragging around such a heavy bulk for such a long time. Even sleeping is a chore.

Must keep taking a regular drug cocktail to survive successfully earthside. Having been raised in an almost sterile environment, his immune system is weak, and must be sustained. Similarly, muscle boosters and light stimulants are neccessary for him to keep up appearances while on earth. This could easily blow his cover, so he keeps it an absolute secret.

The PDA includes the mission packages.
- Comprehensive Makeup kit for disguise
- multiple IDs and credit sticks (lighter length sticks with iris scanning ability that holds ID papers, criminal records, Gambit credits, personal files, and so on. It is what you use for EVERYTHING here in Rouge Tower. You have lenses that match the iris patterns)
- Combat knife
- poison. Dangerous if injested, harmless otherwise.

Well, Wesknife is certainly different from our ragtag band.

I do have one piece of criticims though: you describe him as having an unnoticeable appearance, yet with a maxed appearance rating, he is everything else than joe-average-looking.

True, he is as pretty as only a few men are. Judging from his low strength and size, I'd say his appearance is feminine, like Johnny Depp or that guy who played Legolas in LotR.

But, in all fairness, Wesknife is a master of disguise and has lots of makeup at his command. Perhaps you guys never get to see the real him?

You might want to change the sentence "when not in character you will not register him" though. His appearance will leave women slack jawed and men envious.

As I understand it, the appearance rating isn't so much about how noticeable you are, but about how well you can use your appearance.

A guy with a really high appearance rating can use it to be scary and to be charming, or in fact to pass unnoticed.

The high appearance rating reflects the fact that he's an expert in changing and using his appearance. If he wants to look stunningly beautiful and noticeable, he can. He's capable of walking through a doorway and change his posture, his walk, his voice, his facial expression, his entire persona, and be a completely different person on the other side. His face itself is hard to describe, and he's had extensive cosmetic surgery so that an e-fit would come up with the maximum number of people.

Is he beautiful? Yes. But being noticeable isn't about being beautiful or not. More to do with the way you behave and the body language you throw out.

The default is simply to blend into the scenery. If he's in character, he could be anything.

By the way, I really like Curie Laforge! Although I am jealous of your maxed out attributes!

Ah... So he is a supermodel then, with appearance that can match any situation. Makes sense. From your description he does not try hard to look his best when off assignment. It kind of reminds me of that "beauty is in the eyes of the beer holder" commercial I put in Goofytube. Same woman, different makeup and signals.

d_d, your explanation is sound. It did warrant a question though, so it came up. Echo: Your perception is most keen indeed.

that's it, he tries to look as inconspicuous as possible when not in character. In fact, many people who know him by one of his aliases would not recognise him. They'd get a vague "Hum, do I know this guy?" Feeling, and then move on.

Think of the end of "The Ususal Suspect" when Verbal Kint turns into Keyser Söze.

Spacey has huge Appearance, but can do what he wants with it.

See, I am used to GURPS, and there, under maxed appearance, is a whole paragraph about its boons and drawbacks (noticeability, envy, being judged for looks and not for yourself, etc.)
I am not the GM though to judge; if AG wants to play appearance this way, then I'm OK with it.

He is one pretty mofo, Echo, he truly is. But he is also a master of disguise, and could probably pose as an orc if he wanted to.

All your GURPS related notes are valid, but only in circumstances where he actually looks good. If he dress like a filthy slob, people are gonna treat him like a filthy slob.
