I think Deadspace is an excellent core concept.  I love the idea of humans being the 'great old ones'!   You couldn't wish for more frightening forefathers....

This has lain dormant for far too long. You.....must......add......MORE!!! One thing strikes me though, is that the Birdheads are very much akin to one character from China Mieville's "Perdido Street Station." Was he an inspiration for that particular race?
