I hope it's not too late to join.

Name: Jack Thurn
Age: 20
Occupation: Drifter

Jack was born in the badlands of New Mexico and lived with his father as his mother died in childbirth. He was raised killing people, having to defend his father's home from Apaches and rogues. At the age of 14 his father was killed in a raid by the apaches. After that he abandoned his old house and traveled to the nearest big city. He worked various oddjobs, his two single action army's never leaving his side, untill he was 15. Then he signed up for the army but was kicked out shortly there after because he was "reckless and has lack of discipline." After that he wandered the west searching for rough n' tough places to satisfy his thrill seeking personality. His clothes are made of various animal hides and he never takes off his dual holsters containing his single action army's. He has wild unkept hair and an extremely small amount of stubble as he is little more than a boy. He takes nothing seriously and rushes into every confrontation with a smile on his face. He has a joking demenor, strange for someone raised around so much bloodshed. He was even shot in the gut with an arrow once, but that still didn't make him take anything seriously. Because of the nature of his father's death, he does have a deep rooted hatred for native americans, even though it was a rogue band of apaches that killed his father. He heard Purgatory was a rough place, and headed there for some thrill seeking.

Skills: Though he rushes into everything with little thought, he is an excelent shot, with almost all of his shot hitting home.

Equipment: Dual Colt .45 single action army's.

Shouldn't be too much of a problem.  We're in a bit of a rut right now, but that should change soon...  Not to speak for the great and mighty Dozus or anything.
They were immediately and absolutely recognizable as adventurers... They were hardy and dangerous, lawless, stripped of allegiance or morality, living off their wits, stealing and killing, hiring themselves out to whoever and whatever came. They were inspired by dubious virtues.  China Mieville - Perdido Street Station

Gets my .  Welcome about, M1911.

Pariah is (hopefully) correct, and we'll soon see some action in Purgatory.

Okay...
I'm not... generally a stickler for realism, but even in the Wild West, if a guy walked in with a blood-spattered rifle and ask who would buy it, what would you do, even considering that you were a gunfighter?

******************************************************

"Lookee that boy go, Earl! heheh"

"Think he'll make it out alive, Frank

"Nah...I seen me some rough and tumble fellas go in da' Hot-As-Hell. All carrying. He's a dead kid. Heheh"

"Heheh, your an evil bastard Frank."

Triumph of the Dungeon Master!

Ah, how I have come to love that sense of accomplishment and victory that I get when I pull the wool over the eyes of a clever player character. What DM Triumphs have you had?

Some of mine:
1. Finally killing an incredibly powerful, lucky, annoying player's character.
2. Finally achieving a TPK (Total Party Kill)
3. Finally achieving a TPK using only traps
4. Finally working out how to make it so that d**n wizard doesn't steal the spotlight all the d**n time.

Caution would be Reaction #1.  Reaction #2 would probably be "Gee, that's a nice gun."

You're forgetting that this is a SMALL town, even with all the drifters.  So reaction #3 would be "Hey, that's my friend Johnnie's gun, and he never lets it outta his sight.  Wait, is that blood on the stock?"  *without waiting for a response draws and shoots*

Name: Shane Cratz
Occupation:Merc.
Age: 22
Hometown:New York City, Ney York

Shane Cratz is a big time city slicker. And being from the big city, he had lots of jobs for people to hire him to some, well, dirty work. He made his first kill when he was 14, by dropping from a rafter with a large rock, and cracking the targets head wide open. He continued this life untill the age of 20, when he was hired to kill, and succeeded quite well, but the target had a very important person in his family.
Shane is now running from the man, who put a very high bounty on his head. And although the Shane stopped seeing bounty posters in Illinois, he has kept running. He hears about something happening in a town called Purgatory, and decides to check it out.

Equipment:A black horse named Lightning, a pack mule named Gramps, a rapier on his left hip and a Colt revolver on his right. He also had two throwing knives in each boot.

Yeah, gotta second CP and Pariah on that one, Lith.  Make it a cavalry sabre or a bowie knife and you're okay.

I'm afraid I'll have to draw the line for people joining after this, though.  Purgatory's a small town, y'see, and it'd be mighty unfortunate to flood it with too many players.

Welcome aboard, Lith.
