Need Character Deveolpment Help
« on: May 04, 2005, 06:10:11 PM »
Okay, I hope I was right in thinking that I could come to "Flesh it Out" for character advice.

I have a very basic idea of turning something like an Amazonian Sniper into an NPC.

She would bear normal Amazonian female characteristics (i.e.: left breast only, taller than normal, fairly powerfully built)

She could be help or hinderance to the gamers, depending on who she's working for, or what the gamers can offer her incentive-wise.

I have a very vague image, so any details would be appreciated.

Also, if this character seems too iffy, or common, just let me know please. Thanx! :)

If you are going to develop character well have you got any thing to help you, as in making a profile, telling a bit about her history and a drawing of what she looks like? and what is strange about her that sets her apart from the rest of the people? how do they react about it? I hope this helps you a bit to get moving on your project :)

well, I am a trickster Pengilly, but I'm willing to help. Here's a rough profile for your character to make her more real:

Name: (insert first name and last name, middle names and nicknames are optional)
Height:(eg: 6"2' or in centimeter (cm) format)
weight:
hair:(style and color of hair)
eyes: (color of course)
complexion: (A.K.A skintone)
scars/surgical alterations/tattoos: (if answered yes, describe them)
racial background: (self explanatory)
body type and shape:(atheletic and curvaceous or other)
Movements, gestues and mannerisms: (see racial background)
Speech patterns: (self explanatory)
morals/religious beliefs:
character strengths:
character flaws:
mental flexibility: (intro or extrovert? or in between?)
manner towards others: (how does she/he act towards others, that sort of thing)
Physical talent:
mental talent:
occupation: (self explanatory)
hobbies & interest: (see above)
marital status:
family background:
temperament: (mood based)
political stance: (right wing, left wing or other)
likes & dislikes:
fears & phobias:
short & long term goals:
hopes & dreams:

I hope these profile questions help you :)

Okay, one more question Loki, oh great trickster full of knowledge. How exactly do I post the character? I can't seem to find the place where I can submit my NPCs...that is if I ever finish them.

Simply, go to the front page, where you will find, on the left side, a bar with "Plots', 'Items', and, of course, "NPCs' ... there, you will find 'post new NPC' or something like that.
