[1939: Red Tide] OOC Q+A

Ok here is for questions, OOC posts and extra tid bits of technology that you want ok'd.  The tech level right now is the same as world war two but Russia has some different stuff and all of the german made weapons don't exist, yet.  

Allies

Colt .45 Pistol  A standered officer pistol made by Colt, has a 9 round clip and alot of power for a pistol.  In use by Americans, British, and French.

9mm Standerd pistol with a seven round clip, and a silener may be attached.

M1 Rifle  Rifle with a eight round clip that eject through the top of the rifle making reloading difficult most just shoot the clip clean then put in another clip, semi-automatic.  Lond range and a scope may equiped on it.

Thompson Machine Gun  A large machine with a 30 round clip of 9mm bullets.  Can be fired in bursts or full auto.  

.50 Cal Heavy Machine Gun A heavy gun with belt fed ammo or belts can be put in 50 round boxes.  Capable of very high rates of fire and very good for supression.  .50 caliber round are capable of punching holes in light armor.  Needs two men to operate.  

Sherman Medium Tank  A fast, moderately armored tank with a 75mm cannon.  Ten cynlinder diesel engine.


Reds Forces:

AK-24: A durable machine gun with a medium range and a 40 round clip of 7.62 cal bullets.  Cheap and easy to make.  The typical soldier's rifle.

Lexor Pistol:  A small sleek officer's pistol that shoots small 5.45mm slugs in a seven round clip.  Short range and often called a POS by enlisted, Piece of s**t.

Akline Rifle:  Long range standerd rifle.  Fires a 4 round clip of 22mm bullets that can take a man out from more than 300 yards.  Unique ammo type make it uncommon for use except for by snipers.

T-37 MBT:  The Red's Main Battle Tank, a heavy beast with more than 10cm of steel armor hide and a huge 100mm bore cannon, also mounted with 7.62 cal anti personal cannon.  Has a twelves cynlinder engine but still slower than a Sherman.

I'm sorry Luke, but no.  You need to do some more work on this, and follow the format we set in the rules, before that happens.  Also, there needs to be more interest shown.

The rules are much the same of the real world in WWII.  A french man is a french man.  But I will go into more detail I guess.

Germany A small country over run by the Soviets, most of it was split off as a gift to France after WWI to stop it from coming back to power.  German people are sensible enough but if you get too many together you get what happened in WWI.  German weapons are well made but few and far between, it is illegal in Germany for anyone to own more than a pistol.  

Germany has a small Defense force called the Panzer Legion that doesn't exist anymore becasue of the Soviets, smalls bands roam the German countryside as a light resistance.  Germany is now a smal state of the Soviet Union and is having trouble transferring from a capitalist market to a communist regime.  Germans are on average 5'4"-6'0" have blue or brown eyes, and blonde or brown hair.

Great Britain  A vast empire, with the saying that the sun never sets on the British Empire.  With colonies in Australia, Canada, India, and parts of Africa.  Great Britian or otherwise known as England has many different branches of service. MI6, the RAF, the Royal Marines, along with the normal branches of army and navy.  England has a relatively small army augmented with little armor support, but has one of the largest navies in the world.  British Marines are renowned around the world as some of the most rigously trained men in the world.

Some of the small arms weilded by the armies of WWII

Great Britian:
9mm browning Hi-power pistol created by john moses browning of the 1911 fame

9mm sten machinegun- a cheaply made submachinegun, using stamped parts and a funky side mounted magazine

Enfield bolt action rifle- the standard infantry rifle for GB throughout WWII fired the .303 enfeild cartridge( ballistically similiar to american .30-06)

Vickers machinegun- essentially a maxim watercooled machinegun chambered in .303 brit

bren general purpose machinegun- a bulky, though reliable machinegun with a 30 round top fed magazine also chambered in .303brit

U.S.
1911 pistol the old standby, in .45ACP

U.S. rifle M1 chambered in 30-06. generally known as the Garand,uses an eight round clip, At the time the garand entered service the US was the only country to issue a semi-automatic rifle, all other countries used bolt-actions.

M1903 springfield  This was the main service rifle of WWI and was issued to millions of us troops at the beginning of WWII as the garand wasnt produced in large enough quantities to met the demand. The 03 was based on the german mauser action and fired the .30-06 cartridge. used throughout the war  as a designated marksman rifle

Thompson submachinegun  bought in small quantities by the us gov't they were very expensive to produce, the later a2 version was much simplified and a bit cheaper, they most thompsons were later replaced with the greasegun

M3 greasegun   used similiar production techniques as the british sten gun , it was produced in great numbers cheaply by the GM headlamp division and cost about a tenth what the thompson did to produce, fired the .45ACP round though could be fitted with a mod to fire captured german 9mm rounds

M1 carbine  created as an interrim weapon for NCO's and non combat personell to replace the M1 garand and the 1911 pistol, the weapon fired the .30 cal carbine round

Germany:
98k the standard germany infantry rifle, the 98k fired the 8mm mauser cartridge and was a bolt action. principally produced by mauser at the oberndorf plant.

luger pistol  a 9mm pistol usually issued to officers, tankers and artillerymen

MP-40 schmeisser  a 9mm submachinegun produced from all metal stamped parts. said to be very dependable and accurate.

sturmgewehr  "storm rifle" the first assault rifle, produced in small number and firing the 8mm kurz , intermediate round.
