Okay. I have to admit, I dislike Hobbits a little less than I dislike Drow.  Except for all this Tolkein crap, where do Hobbits come in the Folklore?

Hobbits are entirely the creation of Tolkien whom he likened to the people of rural England as they were most interested in farming, eating, and smoking their pipes and cared a great deal for peace. Why where they small, and not just humans you ask, because in the people of rural england Tolkien saw only a small imagination.
