The Prince stood unharmed, protected by the magics of ancient Kasmir, his eyes burned with the knowledge he had gained during a brief intrusion into the realm of the half-dead, changing him in subtle, yet important ways. He held now something of such power, the knowledge of the Kings of yore, his kith and kin among the leaders of mighty Kasmir.

He lifted the black spear, its lusterless surface all but absorbing the light around it as the Prince channeled essence into the weapon. Only the light produced by the ranger and his sword shone against it, for they were both the handywork of the truely divine.

"Your time on this earth will be painfully short, it will haunt you as a short taste of what you once had, and will never have again!" Prince Graeme shouted, and drew back his arm, the spear pointed straight at the heart of the massive gold beast, the lord and god of the dragons. He cast the spear as the god of storms would cast a lightning bolt to smite the earth.

The black spear rose, trailing burning essence behind it, rising like a missle. It sped towards its ancient target, the meteoric iron remembering the path into the dragons flesh, that thrill that would vibrate through the wodden shaft, along the sharpened edge as immortal flesh was transmogrified into mortality for an instant. The dragon would be bound to choose instant painful death, or accept another 8000 years bondage in the twilight realm of Chamo, the deathless god of darkness.

Lord Sky stood there amazed by the dragons and he then noticed something was wrong with the sword. The Enlanzer started to glow bright red and it started to burn Sky's hand. He dropped the sword butinstead of it itting the ground it flew towards the portal which opened again breifley and Mateo the dragon emperor stepped through it alive some how. Mateo stood up revealing his massive body staring at all of the other dragons unleashed and then replied in a deep overwhelming voice that shook the ground slightly.
Tis good to breath the sweet air of blood of the humans again.
He said as he then swooped low to the ground and then high into the air looking around at the massive armies the one had brung forth. He the raced towards the one and stopped inches away from him and said smiling.
   What year is this?
He waited for the reply and then added on.
That the dragons come forth and reclaim their lands.

Sentinel rose into the air as an powerful force. No longer did he look like the elvish ranger, but a god. His skin was black as night, but his body was huge as a titan. His face was young, immortal and handsome of a god. He had flaming red hair and aqua blue veins could be seen in his body pulsing slightly. He had become Xanth reborn, God of the Elementals. He wore golden armour that glittered from the light of the sword. He pointed his sword and rose into battle and stabbing his sword deep into the skull of a dragon. The dragon bursted into blue flames and turned to dust. Xanth went on around killing as he went. The dragons came to face this new threat using all their powers against him, but it only enhanced his powers as he slashed through them. At the moment it rained blood of the dragons falling to the earth in huge splashes as Sentinel's mortal frame was destoryed from the power radiating from it and only the body of the god remained, none of Sentinel's characteristics survived, but deep within the god, Sentinel lived.

The Dragons were defeats. The Great ones falling back into the abyss as Xanth closed it with a clenched fist. Calan cheered for this and the caring for the dead was done. Great mausoleums were built and the dead were put into them. The ogres scattered all around and many more were killed, few making it back to the swamp. The old king of Caladin stepped down and Prince Graeme was made High King of Caladin. Xanth laid great gifts to the King, along with the Anagard Sword. Xanth left the continent and was said to take power in Abasil, making him the God-Emporer of the Holy Kingdom of Abasil. The Abasilians power increased ten-fold and they were made the dominant power in all of the world. Meanwhile, everyone celebrated King Graeme's rise to power and the gift to the people was the Grand re-building of the ancient capital of the Kasmirs of Armalieth in the North and people came to the north after years of it being abandoned. Now the lore and power of the Kasmirs has come to the Caladins as the laws against magic were abolished in Caladin and the Great Towers of the Kasmir erected.

"This is a day of days." Graeme said, no longer a ranking Prince of Calan, but now the Sorcerer King of Armaleith, and Calan. He reclined in the refurbished throne, made of polished mohogany and onxy, with discs of gold set into the arms and the feet. Baird stood before him, now in the regalia of the Chancellor of Calan, the second most powerful lord in the resurgent dual kingdoms.

"Indeed brother, it is." Baird said, looking out the windows of the keep, at the towers again reaching for the skies. With the ban on magic ended, many were coming out of long periods of hiding, and finding their arts welcome, so long as they abided by the Kings laws. Summoned monsters, creatures of stone and earth labored, lifting great stones into place, setting them with the care of master masons though the stones were tons in weight. If the population continued to grow, the city would be fully occupied, and new additions would have to be raised from the earth.

"We cannot forget that this was not won by myself alone. We commemorate this day for posterity, the day the dragons thought to return, and were instead vanquished. We are raised from the lowly to the lofty, but the price paid in lives has been great. The dead must be remembered, memorials lifted in their memory."

"Agreed." Baird said.

"We should thus also remember our allies, Talaharian, and our foes the ogres who yet live. Send emissaries to Talahar with gifts and invitations of trade and good will between our kingdoms that we all may flourish."

"and of the ogres?"

"They are few, but they will not always stay few. Send the bravest to them, offer them the branch of friendship, and honor their fallen. We would have them as allies, if not..."

"I understand." Baird said.

Xanth stood before King Graeme in the Great Hall of Kings. Xanth was only formed as a humanoid, but he was the size of a titan standing up to almost twenty feet, his head almost touching the great beams that held the roof from collapsing. He was almost etheral, like a white cloud, where green lightning flashed for eyes, the only part of a face that could be seen. Electricity and fire pulsed around his form as he bowed his head to King Graeme. His voice was thunderous, but he seemed not to speak, his voice in the heads of them as Xanth, God of the Elementals reborn, adressed the hall.
"Long will you reign for I see a life long and full of magnificince. You will make Calan by far, greater then the greatest Kasmir king, and Calan will reign and thousands of more years then Kasmir lasted. I bless you all of Calan. But let us remember. If you or your heirs ever come to believe themselves better then the Gods, I will smite thee and utterly end Calan and everyone else. Abasil wishes peace with you."
Xanth once more bowed his head and with a wind that almost came from nowhere, he disappeared.
