The Quest for Knife-Proofness
« on: August 25, 2004, 02:34:49 AM »
A Tanzanian who went to a witch doctor in search of the power to resist  knife attacks died when ritual cuts made on his body proved fatal.

He was one of four suspected robbers from a village in Kasulu district in western Tanzania who visited the witch doctor on a quest for magic. the robberies were committed to get both material components and goods to pay the witch doctor.

The ritual included cutting their skin and rubbing in potions and powders.

The witch doctor fled after the man died from profuse bleeding.  The three survivors were arrested after they went to the healers circle. They are now being held in the Gaol, as WitchHunters and Guardsmen conflict over whos prisioners they should be.

Again, who needs fiction when you have reality. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=573&ncid=757&e=2&u=/nm/20040824/od_nm/witchcraft_dc
