I was inspired to run a horror game set in space. It is going to be about character interaction, and surviving an outside hostile threat.

Humans only, and no mystic powers, no magic, and no hypertechnology.

Anyone interested?

This RP is currently full. Unless you have one of the reserved slots on the Crew roster (see blow) I am not accepting any more players.

Is it a new consept? I would not like to kill Aliens, Predators or other known Alien critters. I like that we do not have any hyper technology.

Well, I'll tell all of my victims the truth, the adventure is still being developed, and will have a large part to do with what sort of vessel is the most popular in the voting poll. Right now it is a three-way tie between military, science, and salvage ship.

Its starting to get dark...I hope no one is afraid of the dark.

Casting my vote...hehehe...and it is for the Salvage ship.

Ship is ready for launch in the Moderated forum. All personel please report to the medical bay for physical and mission briefing.

Note on weapons, the captain has a side arm, the only weapon legally on board. It is not uncommon for crewmen to smuggle weapons of their own aboard, but these are generally limited to knives, or small arms that could be smuggles aboard. The I.S.S. Ballard is an unarmed civilian vessel.

just remembered if this is a salvage ship then there supposed to be alot of medical personel. So could my character still work. If not I'll edit but I was just wondering?

Made some changes in the crew line up, dropped the two generic slots in favor of an auxilliary pilot/crewman and an assistant med officer. Luke had a good point with this being a rescue ship.

Welcome aboard Ria. Maybe Marney wont be the only woman on board

Just remember that all personel are to report to the medical bay first.

Alright.

The Luddites are a group much like the Amish. They believe that machinery and technology in general are evil and will lead to the downfall of humanity, or something like that.

A note on Faster Than Light ships (FTL from hence) They do exist, but they are incredibly expensive, and rare. Perhaps one out of every fifty ships is capable of traversing interstellar space. Most traffic is restricted to ion drive or more primitive plasma jet engines.

If anyone wants an explanation...well. I could explain the tech but I would rather not. It is arduous, but both engines currently exist now, though neither is very powerful or very efficient.

Good idea, we can rescue Captain Penguin from the frozen moon that he really might be from.

The Matter of the UES Calypso

The Calypso was a light cruise liner that took rich tourists out on cruises to observe the various phenomina of the Jupiter system, sight seeing the ring, and the plethora of moons and habitats that have grown there.

A passenger smuggled a gun aboard, just for fun. The weapon was discharged accidentally, and created a rupture in the hull. It was a small leak, and didnt set off the alarms, and over the course of the next 24 hours, the ship hemorraged oxygen, and everyone on board passed out from thin air/oxygen depravation. A few tried to escape, but only three people managed out alive.

Nearly 550 men, women, and children dead, the worst disaster in space travel history.
