Amos stopped in a deserted corridor, "Wait Ronena." He forgot about kyra he was either on the next floor above in security or in the executive offices.  "Hyroth this is Amos we got a problem here.  I promised Kyra we would get him out but he might be on the floor above or even in the executive wing.  Give us forty minutes if we can't reach you had better go ahead and launch if you can.  Then try to find somewhere to lie on the surface, and we'll catch up to. I can't leav him behind."

"Ronena does that maintence stair way go up too?"

She nodded an affirmitive while keeping an eye on both ends of the hall way.

Amos nodded then tried raising Kyra's frequency.  "Kyra this is Amos I need to know what floor your on and how close to the suborbital bay you are so we can find you and bring you with us.

The bay was deserted, apparently the two guards had been the only surprise waiting below. Cary moved into the bay and surveyed what was there. It wasnt much, the semi-ballistics were gone, except for one, a battered SBC-33, an older model that had seen better days.

Cary keyed the door to open. It cycled open and he entered the craft. It was in good working order but had to have been left behind for some reason. he sat down at the command console and activated the diagnostic system. Repulsor lifts were green, ion drive was green, fuel cells were green, all of the vital systems burned with green lights.

He punched a query into the semi-ballistics computer and found his answer. The machine had been down for maintainence, and regular service. THe work had been finished about an hour ago, but the ground crew was either evacuted or imprisoned before they could update the computer status of the SB. Cary laughed as he started the preflight checks on the flight systems.

"Okay, Just... Be quick, would you?" Hyroth felt that waiting would be more difficult than working his way through this place, due to the tension.

It took him another ten minutes to find his way to an entrance to the bay, and when he finally did, he breathed a sigh of relief. His gaze fell to Mathan momentarily, then he pulled open the metal door abruptly, charging in with the shotgun held before him. He blinked at the empty room, then almost stumbled over a coil of hose.

A faint sigh registered from his lips, before he and his partner made their way to the only craft in the place. Mathan keyed to the door, which slid open easily, and Hyroth walked in, gun by his side and a tired expression on his features.

Krya patched a line to Amos, beginning to hear security alarms going off in his sector. the alarms made him jump, but he wuickly hacked into the mainframe and shut the alarms off, blocking their control center, though for how long was anyone's guess.

"I'm in the main security wing directly beneath the exec wing. Most of the guards have left in the uproar, but there's still a few here, not to mention the elite mercs guarding the Execs. The alarms in here just started going off, and I shut them down, though I don't know how long my hack will keep them offline. You have to hurry. You can stock up on equipment in the security wing armory while you're here."

Amos nodded, at least he wasn't with the execs. "Were on out way up as we speak."  Amos ran up the stairs fast at the top of the landing he kicked the door open while Ronena covered it.  Then she leaped out into the hall. No one but a clerk was there who screamed and ran around a corner.

A small map was on the far wall.  Amos read it, they had to only go down this corridor opposite the way the clerk had ran, then take a right at the first door. It was the entrance to the security wing which was just a blue mass.

"Ok we'll have to find out more when we get there."  Amos said.  The hurried down the hall cameras must be wathcing them by now on sense in secrecy.

Ronena was the first to the door she, tried it but it was locked.  She fired a Howler burst but the shells slammed into the door but didn't blow through.

"Here move back. " Amos stepped away from the door then shot it with the lasher in the key pad.  It sparkled once then died, they could here thunks as the locks retracted.  Ronena helped him move the door into it's sliding alcove then they stepped into the room.  "He's a Rish frying anyone whose not one."

Ronena nodded and burst into the guard lobby only a clerk behind the desk saw them and she pulpled his head in one burst.  Amos charbroiled a gaurd that came from the next room and followed a sign that had an arrow marked Monitor.

They burst in the room to find the blue skinned friend hunched over a computer screen.  "Hey Kyra, come on let's go." Ronena watched the door carefully they hadn't seen any mercs yet maybe their execs bosses weren't letting them wander.

Krya began running his hands over the consoles.
"Before we leave I'm doing what I can to disrupt these bastards." He continued pressing keys, until suddenly the entire room and the hall outside lit up with brilliant red lights. Alarms began wailing at ear-piercing volume. Doors began slamming shut and the security room suddenly flared as the monitors began to explode and the consoles shot sparks into the air. Krya dove out the door just before the room was rocked by a massive explosion as the mainframe interface for the computer exploded, throwing shards of metal and plaster everywhere.

"I need a weapon, but I kept the armory safe from the cascade virus I hacked into the system. We should have a few minutes to get some equipment before the virus breaks in and sends that room to hell as well. This won't harm the execs much, but it should give us some time to get out."

"Alright Kyra, I don't think we ahve time to get to the armory, here take my back up pistol.  We should be able to handle anything that comes our way."  Amos set off running down the hall Ronena followed Kyra at the here covering their exit.

They made it to the stairway on good time and encountered no resistance as most of the opening and shutting doors had blocked most of the guards.  Ronena lead them down the stairs two flights careful of anyone that might be with them.  She found no trace of anyone.  They made it to the bottom of the stairs which opened into the suborbital.

As Ronena opened the door a barrage of various weapons opened fire.  She ducked instinctively but still got a nasty howler blast to her shoulder that shredded most of the armor and left many deep cuts.

"s**t!" Amos muttered, he fired a few quick pules of the Lasher through the door.  He grabbed Ronena's Howler and gave it to Kyra, "Just give me some cover Kyra I'm going to try use the tramsmiter to contact Hyroth."  Just he pulled at the transmitter a PAC blast hit the far wall it scrambled the transmitter delicate equipement.  It was useless.

"Deep s**t." Amos muttered. He took off his helmet and started wiring it to the transmiter. The roar of the Howler made him jump as some one outside fired at them again.  It sounded like a couple of guards but maybe some mercenaries too judging bye the wide range of weapons they were using.

Amos finally got the transmiter back online by powering it with his helmet, "Hyroth this is Amos were pinned down at a maitnance stairway on the far side of the suborbital bay." Amos took a quick peek outside then jerked his head inside again before it could get blown off by one of the guards, "It's a couple of guards and three mercenaries, one's a Rish the other two are Tallon Creche.  They've got some drums for cover.  If you can surprise them from behind we can catch them in a pincher. Hyroth you copy?"

Cary heard the call to Hyroth. The weapons fire had jerked him out of a near sleep. He had spent the last 18 hours in a cordite hauler and hadnt gotten much sleep. He pivoted the rear camera of the SBC-33 to find the gunmen, and found them. They had taken cover behind a number of drums and were covering on of the side doors to the suborbital bay.

"Drek and double drek." Cary cursed. He sure as hell wasnt going to go down and try lasing those guys down. He looked at the control pad, and the engine proximity light was on. They were dangeously close to the engine nozzles. Cary smiled as he hit the ignition button on the number 1 and number 3 engines.

With a roar, both engines spewed fire in a long gout behind the SBC.

There was a loud shriek as the suborbital's engines came online then in a flurry of fire and plasma it melted the group of gouards and emrcs into a pile of oozing carbon.  Amos smiled, he holstered his pistol and helped Ronena up.

"Come on Kyra looks like it's time we left this party." Amos helped Ronena over to the shuttle careful of the jetting plasma he boarded through the lwoered ramp and smiled at the revolutionaries.  Ronena moaned once and he moved he over to the back of the ship and laid her on two seats.  Careful of her wound he removed her shoulder armor peice and apmlied a pressure bandage.

Cary hit the access panel to the SBC with the flat of his palm. The door hissed and cycled open in time for the newly arrived to embark upon the shuttle.

"Welcome aboard the 'Bounty' Gents." Cary said with a grin.

Krya could hardly believe what was happening. After spending months working for SingSing, everything had changed in a matter of minutes. He was now involved deeply in a resistance movement, being shot at by his previous 'employers' and helping others to escape this d**ned place. These thoughts and more flashed through his mind as they ran for the shuttle, throwing themselves aboard and finding seats in the cockpit. "Well, what's our next move?"

"Our next move is to get over to the detention camp.  We need to free some more miners so we have enough men to take the spaceport.  Then we need to pose one of the dropships as a normal run of supplies.  Without a dropship and a Flashspace ship we'll never escape this godforsaken place."  Amos lowered Ronena into one of the seats and checked her vitals.

"Where's Hyroth she needs him."

"I can lie over the radio, but I dont know what they will think, wont they be able to track us from the air, unless...Kyra...can do some magic with the transponder, or some other mathemagics." Cary said.

"We are fueled and green to go, but nowhere to go. This bird os old, but it will get us anywhere on planet, or boost us up into a low orbit, maybe dock with a friendly, or something."

Krya laughed. "Of course I can." He moved over to a wallpanel and pulled it off, reaching inside and fiddling with a few of the wires.
"SingSing uses some very simple tracing devices and usually they can be disabled if you can just...." His brow furrowed in concentration as he reached deep into the panel. "There! That should make us all but invisible to SingSing computers." He tossed a wire coated in blue plastic to Amos and smiled. "Here, have a souvenier."

"Then let's get the frigid balls of Budha out of here,"  The suborbital craft rocked slightly then throttled outof the hangar at 3/4 speed.  It took a careful pilot to manuver out of the tunnel that was the exit/entrance tot he bay.  The suborbital swurved a couple times to avoid stalagmites and other obstructions then the team was in the clear.  It was a eleven hour flight to the far side of the planet carrful to stay below the double doplar radar so the crew had to hang only 325 feet above the surface.  A perfect chance for some R&R, repairing and reloading.
