A Battle Lord is a mortal being bound to a mystical suit of armor and its associated weapon. This suit, in addition to granting great durability, strength, speed, and skill to the wearer, provides a number of mystical powers as well.
The suits have a vaguely samurai look to them, like the Ronin Warrior suits from the Cartoon of the same name. The suits "collapse" into an amulet or arm band (Kosi). With a touch of the item and a short phrase, the battle suit, the linked weapon, and all its powers are at the wearer's disposal.
Each of the Two, had created eight elemental Battle Lords. The Battle Lords acted as their generals and their personal army. These mighty being (mostly) still live. If they don't, their mighty weapons and armor still do, passed on to a follower or found by some scavenger. Each Battle Lord still serves their master to some degree, but most follow their own agenda- some amass lands and followers, other seek peace, others conflict, some want to restore the old order, some want an order without elders.
These 16 Battle Lords form the focus of all the story arcs in this campaign. Their actions and the character's interaction with them and their forces becomes the focus of any campaign
I have yet to formalize this idea, but here are some ones I can throw out.

Oman's
Heaven- Crymon: He job is to protect Oman at all costs. He and his army of Cavalry defend Oman's strong hold in the Elder's city. He occasionally acts against other Battle Lords he sees as a threat to his Elder, even those of Oman's Cor. He is the master of Cavalry. His Armor is White with Red. His Lance of Light allows him to penetrate any deception or armor. His skill with weapons is the same in and out of armor.
Wood/Wind Gia: She is the sister of the original Wood BattleLord. Unlike most of the others, she distains battle and conflict. Her's is the task to repair the damage that has plagued the world, especially that damage done by the Battle Lords in conflict. Her companion on this journey is her brother's soul hawk. This wise mystical creature aids her in all things. She still carries her brother Hurricane Bow, whos bolts of solid air can injure or throw about a target. Her armor of Yellow with Green trim is seldom seen, though it may of been transformed to the yellow and green robe she is frequently wearing.
Fire/Sun:
Stolen by a thief after assassinated. He has a radical agenda in reshaping the world and destroying all Fey.

Water/Moon *once was part of Kosi's force. The original Water/Moon nearly double dealed Oman. He died and this one was given his armor. She has since defected to Oman's ideals and his side in The War. Durring the peace her strongest ally may be her ex-lover, Kosi's Water/Moon. Together they are both taking territory and solidifying their position.

Kosi's
Heaven: Agran. This Orkish warrior was once the supreme leader of Kosi's forces. He was strict, swift, and efficient in his tactics. His personal forces are mostly destroyed, only a handful of fanatical followers remain. Agran is searching the world for a way to restore Kosi to the material plane. His Red and White trimmed armor granted him strength beyond measure. Given enough time he could lift or move any object. He is also the finest warrior in all The World, able to defeat any foe in single combat with any weapon.
Wood/Wind
Main weapon is a flute. This flute allows him to control all beasts and non speakers, and influence those of beast decent. He has a crow on his side. This all seeing creature prophecises for him. He is romatically interested in another Battle Lord. Gentle, Penetration, Flexibility Bird Yellow/ Green
Fire/Sun: Diplomat and political manuverer. Is currently working with Oman's forces in bringing about order and culture. He has his own agenda of course, but working with Oman is the best deal at the moment.

Lake/ Marsh Deadly Dillitant. Fey who is now endulging her own pleasures in her own little realm. She rules that realm with an iron fist, though everyone is free to sample pleasures there… as long as they obey her in all things while they are there.
Joyous, Pleasure, Tranquility, Sheep, Green/ Indigo
Water/Moon Bokor. He is a master deceiver. He is sly, cunning, and uses his opponents strengths and weaknesses against them. He is know for intricate plans. His ex-lover is now Oman's Water/Moon Battle Lord. Bokor has cast away any allegence to Kosi. He is now out for himself and his own power. He searched for Kosi's Cor so he can become an Elder and take over the world. His Armor is Blue with silver trim. His weapon of choice is a long slim swords that wounds and inflicts pain. His main weapon is actually his shield, the Shield of the Moon, which reflects any ranged attack back at its target AND can be used to cast illusions or show a person the ugly truth about themselves.
Thunder: Fantatical in supporting Kosi's goals. He is still at war with Oman's forces.
