I just thought I'd say "Hello" because it's suggested:

"Hello!"

There, now I can look at the characters...

D'hui sure is an interesting name... Who'd you eat to get it from? Was it a president? A bum? Maybe your cousin?
Or perhaps, it was.... DAHUIUS, IRON-FISTED LORD AND MASTER OF THE 26th INTERDIMENSIONAL VORTEX-MATRIX!

No, it didn't come from that person you suggested, Mr. Penguin - it means "day" in french and it sounds good.

Nobody appears, not exactly existing but not quite not existing.

"Whoa, french huh? Are you actually french, or just an enthusiast, and if you are french, how many steriotypes can i automatically put you down for. And do you know what the time difference between france and the eastern U.S.? because if your name means "Day" in french, then maybe it is afternoon over here. Whoa, I just realized something. Its an epiphany...oh, no, wait, thats just the label of my catsup bottle, not to be confused with catchup, which is completely different.

Anyway, i am unusually insane today, even for being among the eccentric elite, as i consider myself to be. So you might jst have to ignore me for a while. Anyway, that is all. And by the way, welcome to Strolen's Citadel.

"Ack! Who let you out of your cage!?!?"

Shadoweagle whips a cattle prod out of one of the sleeves of his volumous robes and prods the air with it, driving nobody back into a crudely crafted, wooden cage in the corner of the room then shutting the door and clipping it shut.

"Ha! Don't worry about him, he's nobody!" (Shameless name plug :))

I'm NOT french, and I don't like french.  I just think the name sounds good - perhaps elvish or something.
I thought therefore I was, but then YOU started thinking and that really put me off.

It doesn't sound like French, though...
Why so vehement about the French? Are you a French-hater?

Actualy d'hui does sound french, but it does not mean day.
It seems to be derived from au jour d'hui, which in turn means today. The near litteral translation would be "on this day", but since french people tend to "mess" up the order of just about everything, they say on day this, so d'hui would be something like this, not day.

the proper word for day happens to be jour or journee depending on the context.

Well, so much for french english translations. Just for the record, I love french.

De mon avis le francais c'est la langue d'amour et de beautee. Il n'y as pas que une default et c'est que on aurais utilise trop des accents et truc comme ca.

Yours,

Ylorea

French is too confusing for me, but it does sound nice when people speak it fluently.  Not that I understand them, though.
Tes, D'hui does come from au jour d'hui!

Some french for Ylorea...

                                            Sincerely, Michael

Hello Michael,

I hope you do not mind that I reply in English. I must say it is clear that you used a net-translator, as there are some very strange constructions in your lines.

As for my origin: I come from the netherlands.

Where I was talking about accents: In french you need to add a lot of ', ` and ^ to various characters to write it correctly. I hate doing that in an typing enviroment, as I always forget about the proper ascii codes for those characters. (Using keyboard shortcuts sometimes yields very strange results for people using another browser or another font)
This leads to the fact that my written french is rather a sad excuse....

Yours,

Ylorea
