Ahem, I tried to find the answer to the following in the forum rules section;
whats up with the htaccess dialog boxes in the ideas/items/plots section?

I am sure you have answered this 1000 times before, but oblige me please =)

Ahh, my newest norwgian.

The dreaded dialog boxes. Only one other poor unfortunate soul has had the ill luck to experience these dreaded malforms and I have yet to be able to duplicate the unfortunate attacks on my visitor's sanity.

My efforts in discovering the culprit have been empty but the mob will be formed again with torches supplied by me and we will walk the streets of the citadel until I find the bastard line of code that would dare haunt us.

I love real thunderstorms. Japan doesn't have squat for real thunder and lightning, just typhoons and torrential rain, no real house shuddering thunder....sigh....only house shuddering is earthquakes and 50+ knot winds.

Først når høstens regntunge skyer samler seg samler rollespillerene seg rundt bordet for alvor.
Sommeren er vel og bra for meg. Jeg har tatt jobben som nattevakt på et
1ooår gammelt hotell i Sogn og Fjordene slik at jeg kan bruke lyse netter på skriving. Jeg arbeider med et norsk rollespill som jeg håper og få ferdig snart. Ikke norsk i den forstand at det finnes særnorske elementer i det. Men snarere skrevet på norsk.

Jeg vet ikke hva en "særnorske" er. Oversetterne gjør en fattig jobb på oversette norsk hvis ikker norwegion taledd i brutte og uvanlige setninger.

You really were that nervous when it came to our plans of invasion that you had to find out what we were talking about. Well since many of the norwegian words dont have an exact counterpart in english its hard to transelate without changing the structures of the sentenses.
"særnorsk" is something that is wery norwegian, like the fjords for example.

Your norwegian was exelent strolen, keep it up

Michael Jotne Slayer: I considered publishing my roleplaying system in norwegian. Gave it up some years ago, didn't have the time. I actually completed the chapter index and the layout of the book. Even promised a copy to each of my players.

Hope you are met with success! With the popularity of "LoTR" and Harry Potter, the publishing houses might lend you an ear! Go for it!

I am in contact with them so the lending an ear part is ok.And just see whar cappelen has published before, ever looked at Fabula? The norwegian game by Tomas Morkrid? Its rather simple if you ask me...

But there is a new game on the way now, I don't actually know if its out allready, Draug by Mathjis! It might be good..

Michael Jotne Slayer: Yes, Thomas's Fabula system is rather simple, and it does not appeal to me. I guess I am a sucker for action, excitement and high adventure. Thomas is the head of the norwegian roleplaying association and has been around for quite some time, I guess some venture far away from standard sword and sorcery based rpg's...

For the record; I use my system in a fantasy and a science-fiction setting. It is a levelbased skill-system. The best of both worlds my players and I think.

So what kind of system do you have? Skill-based? Level-based? What kind of setting do you plan to use? So many questions

I am saving my system to be used in the future. In computer games to be exact. When I have finished my degree I'll apply in norway, sweden, denmark and germany. Some of the northern european gaming companies does have an appealing roster.

ok if you want to get technical i am 1/2 Lithuanian, 1/2 Cuban/Spanish, 100% american and i speak lithuanian, german, and englich of course. too bad i can read them

I wasn't being technical, i was just stateing a fact is all, well anyways im german french scotish, irish, and even a little spanish. Al though i speak english more, i can speak more Japanese than anything else i am...and im not even japanese.

Why does everyone one this site know japanese by the way? Ok, Strolen is japanese, but the rest of you? Manga Lovers?

Well, never mind. My Japanese is almost forgotten anyhow. Thats what happens when you don't use a language in over ten years. (And I was at kindergarten level before that... Only knew Hiragana, Katakana and 300 Kanji   )

Strolen is NOT Japanese. He's an American in the Air Force, stationed in Japan.
Either that, or I've made a horrible, horrible mistake.

I'm American. I speak English. Well, American English, anyway. I also speak basic Spanish, and a few words in German.
I don't know Japanese, despite being a reader of manga and watcher of anime.

CP is correct, although that is top secret super squirrel classified but as long as it doesn't get out we should be ok. <crisp tockle 4-3-7 all clear>

I am 1/2 polish, 1/2 swedish, and 1/4 norwegian and about 3/31 german and 14/177 other mixed.

I can speak all languages except that most people can't understand anything I say, it might be my accent. Knowing that many laguages really throws you off sometimes. Their accents are just as bad because I can rarely understand them as well. I can read quite a few languages and write in about the same amount, all depends on the free web based translators available.

I'm half indonesian, 1/8 German,1/8 Scottish, 1/4 Polish. I speak Dutch, English, French, German, some Turkish, some Swedish and going to start on Indonesian soon... (Finally...)

Trying to have intelligent conversations with me in either Swedish or Turkish is no go. Unless you give me loads of time to look up things in a dictionary...
Intelligent conversations in all those other languages might also not be possible, depending on my state of mind.
