Might have to find this fellow.

The person was stupid. Left a direct link to my css file so I disabled it. It used to look exactly like my front page, now I took away the css so it looks a little more crappy.

Found him by hits in my weblog, little bastard.

Anyway, I couldn't track anything down on it as far as where it is linked from, might be new. Will look periodically.

It does mean that they were enough impressed with the site to rip it off... Yay Strolen! Strolen who doesn't take enough credit for the images :p He was quite involved in the developing of them.

Anyway, Yahoo won't tell me who the person is unless I get a lizar- (ehem) lawyer to call them and speak funny Legalese at them or obtain a court order. This will be very easily (and hopefully quickly) resolved. Unless the person decides to flame me for having them shut down their identity may forever remain a mystery *woooooo* Yahoo will probably tell them who lodged the complaint against them if they ask, though the size of the yarbles required to flame me for this rather makes contact unlikely.

He did not use any ideas luckily. Its just an empty and hollow page. Maybe some similarity to the author himself? I am all for inspiration, maybe even cutting and pasting to complement own work but this is too much.

Didn't explain. Took me two looks as well.

Another one I found from my weblogs. Overlooked it the first time, second time I did a view source. He basically stole the design of the website as well. He left links to my 'blank.gif' image in the code and I tracked him from that. he changed a lot of stuff, left the CSS stuff (probably didn't understand it) so when you mouseover one section it will turn brown. Familiar?

Now that is LOW!!! Passing content off as their own I am assuming. I even have a problem with people linking to sites inside frames let alone sniping the content.

Generally I don't care about taking a format idea and creating your own, but when you take graphics, directly link the css (moron) and just change a title, that is a little too much. But that isn't even as bad as passing off content, that is nuts!

Yeah, but what he doesn't understand is one, the visitors will still be going to RoE and not really to a website owned by him

So that means I continue getting the advertising and impressions. All he would basically be doing is creating a second portal to RoE and bring in more members

Also, the frames won't work anyway because of this little bit if javascript I wrote.

It will cause RoE to break out of any frames it is loaded into

Only those people who have javascript turned off will be stuck and I plan on adding a link to the main menu of RoE that will allow them to break out themselves if that is the case

Because I use cold fusion includes at RoE, I only had to add that bit of script to one file and upload it...now it appears on EVERY page.

Yet another handy javascript to add to my, well, two. Much to the chagrin of a few on the board I usually have nothing to do with anything with 'java' included in the name, including the drink. But I have slowly been shown the light and usefulness of a couple scripts.

Dr Phluid will remind me which one he suggested I put in, I have a feeling that it is similiar to the one you mention.

The joy of Cold Fusion and PHP. The ease of manipulation of one file to make the entire site eat the fruits. I learned the beauty of modulation early in the building (thank goodness) and can also benefit from a few minutes of inputting some simple code to update the menu or add a quick script.

Yep, without includes and other nifty programming tricks, running a site as large as RoE would be d**ned near impossible. I remember when I had only one menu on the site

Oh how easily someone other than me sways you. That script is exactly the one I recommended to you before, but NOOO

Anyway, Java is NOT the same as Javascript anymore than Sun is the same as Microsoft. So it should please you that even if you do add the script you will not have any Java in your pages.

Frankly I am surprised that a non-Microsofty like yourself would not fully support SunÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Java.

Hey, I just looked and you are already running javascript on this very page! You have already crossed over to the dark side. Every step get easier from now on.

Javascript on this page comes with the forum and thankfully I think it is just used for a popup for a new private message. I haven't looked too hard at it but it is minimalistic which is cool for me.

I will add that javascript that you gave me way back when, and I think there was another one too, I wrote them down. Might even get a fav icon going as well

You do get the Clerical experience points for swaying somebody to your javascript religion and that is why I easily agreed here, the work was already done.
