Pissed that she didn't get a chance to help take out a skeleton, Ami was determined to at least help with this next beast. She removed her quiver from her back and her fontis stone from her pocket. Holding the stone above the quiver, firmly in the grip of her hand it began to drip the purest blue water. Ami then murmered a few elvish words and a seady stream of water poured from her hand into the quiver of arrows. She quickly replaced the quiver upon her back and drew an arrow, firing at what she determined was the creature's head.

Whilst all the group were attacking this new beast, Nurin had retreated back a few paces, staring blankly for a time, his mind racing as what to do. In his experimentations he had heard of - but never had a chance to study - a wraith. What should he do...?

His mind abruptly clicked, however, and he lowered himself to a kneeling position on the ground after daring himself to get within just a few feet of the creature. Nurin withdrew his enchanted dagger, but instead of thrusting it at the creature, he lodged that blade deeply into the stone floor, the enchantment upon the blade allowing the steel to slide through with ease. Nurin began steadily carving a phrase of odd runes into the ground - and any who studied those runes would see he was etching out letters identical to to the golden symbols which were placed on that stone altar.

Nurin, however, had not carved such runes in quite a long while, so he was pausing quite often to attempt to remember what the next symbol was - he knew if he got it wrong, disastrous results could occur. So unless the wraith was otherwise occupied, it could easily have halted his efforts before he finished carving them. Of course, if he managed to succeed, the wraith would no doubt feel the weight of the same containment spell bieng thrust back upon it.

Out of the corner of her eye, Gray noticed Nurin was up to something.  Well, might be more effective than she was.  She slashed at the thing again, doing it a minor discomfort.  It was like trying to attack fog.  All she was doing was scratching it, if something immaterial could be said to be scratched.  She swung again, but missed.  The faint glow emmanating from the runes running the lenght of her sword brightened slightly.  She was getting a little frustrated.

The blast of energy blew into the wraith and burned as cut through it,  small bolts of lighting played across the beasts semi coporial hide.  The beam of magic was off aim though and had smashed through the shoulder joint the left arm fell off and hit the ground.  It coporialized reavealing charred black skin of a rough hide.  The wound it left was cateurized by the immense heat of the attack,  part of the beast became fully coporials.  Mostly around the left should, colar bone, and left torse, also part of the neck is exposed.  Loren leans his back against the wall and sits down he is still to drained to do anything.  He pulled out a small flask of water and sips from it.
