Could we not check the authenticity of this volume? Surely there must be some other volumes on the subject!
Why have we not verified more about the author?

(OOC: These pages are penned in a messy hand, many times revised. Many times the color of ink switches mid-line. There are several diagrams throughout. There appear to be blue handprints stained into the lower part of the book.)

Found very well-preserved specimens. Put the older specimens and shells into the acid tank.
Subject appears to have been mummified like the rest.

Specimen is approximately 7 feet tall, and weighes approximately 140 pounds- pre-mummification weight- estimated 320 pounds, after molting or 500 at highest level of chitin. Shell is a pale green color- pre-mummification most likely deep green (Note- other specimens were different shades, red, blue, orange)
Arms long, thin. Between plates at the joints is withered muscular tissue, leathery from mummification. Wrist joint encased in metal band. Hand has two digits and a thumb...Digits are wide and flat, appear to be two normal fingers fused together. Thumb is similar, single-digit appendage.
Head is dolicocephalic, shaped roughly like a fan or hemisphere. Plates line the top of the head- cranial plates chevron-shaped. Lines of softer chitin over two eye-sockets- Eyes have withered from age. Top eye is slightly larger than lower eye. No sign of mouthparts or hearing.
Neck is thick, attaches between shoulders in a humanoid fashion. Chest is a single plate with rib-like furrows.
Legs are similar to arms- feet are flat, paddle-like appendages- no sign of digits.

Outer shells are dry and flaking. Did not retain body moisture.
Upon incision, the krill's blood poured out. A vibrant shade of blue. This is a well-preserved specimen indeed. Inner organs are bloated with blood...Death appears to have been natural, with the blood-flood within the organs that I have theorized from previous evidence...There is no... (OOC: These pages seem to have been less scribbled than the preceding ones. There are ink-stains, but are not overly messy)

The krill dwelt (dwell?) in large silvery domes with cities within. All structures seem to be constructed mostly from the same silvery blue-white metal. Shapes are rounded and curving, with central tower that attaches to roof of dome. All structures seem sealed, and doors (circular, with seam down the center) do not open. The floor is made from a smooth, black, stone-like substance, but is covered foot-deep in a greenish dust or sand.

In Sozwie village dome- Villagers call it Demon's House. Main gate (circular as usual) lay half open and half closed. Within entrance tunnel- found blue ceramic statue (?) or figure that mimicked krill form. When touched, left arm shifted and digits tapped, but then settled once again. Magic?
Within, found two more statues of the same sort. These did not move. One of the structures had crumbled, and within found a conglomeration of blue-white, black, and reddish metals, and blue ceramic. Within saw crystals of some sort, but was unable to reach them.

In Pausanasus dome- Recieved knowledge of this from an Imperial Postman. Doors of main gate had been removed. Perhaps scavenging barbarians? Within, significant weather damage to entrance hallway. No signs of rust, but pitting in black stone floor and plants beginning to grow.
City within constructed along unknown geometries. Angles defy the eye. Perhaps this is a later or earlier style of construction? Many animals found within- some structures overgrown with weeds. Obviously not natural growth. Perhaps the green dust? Arm was injured by a falling construct of some sort, possibly sheeting from side of building.

In Komartown dome- Curious position- half-sunken in lake. Was unable to access. Townsfolk say that gods built it. Noted a causeway of sorts at the bottom of the lake leading to what seemed to be entrance gates.

In Harrenbeniche dome- Similar style as Pausanasus dome- one structure was painful to look upon. All else unremarkable, save for a spider-like construction that lay in the center of one street (hall?). Appeared to have seats like a chariot.
