This is a story someone else created, he did however give me permission to use it, I absolutely loved the story, but it slowed down and people quit being active so it died down. So give it a shot eh?
Prologue
Ages ago several gods ruled over the lands of the earth. Each god reigned over a particular element and a particular region. For a time, the gods lived in peace with each other. Then, the mightiest of the gods, ruler of the heavens, created the race of humankind and scattered their numbers all over the planet, to live in each gods region and worship them. The other gods approved of this and provided for their humans.
The people and the gods lived in this harmony for an unknown amount of time, but, predictably, the harmony came to an abrupt halt. Certain humans began to cease worship of the god of their region, and worship a god of an element they felt was more worthy. Anger rose in both gods and humans at these traitors, and civil war broke lose among both.
Among humans, the bloodshed was horrific. The entire race nearly wiped each other out in their zeal to honor their god. The gods, unable to kill each other, tore apart the land of each others regions and killed their enemy's worshippers. If this were to continue, it would surely have meant the end of the world.
The god of the heavens and his worshippers were the only ones who remained out of the fray. The god of the heavens allowed the war to continue for a time, thinking that the other gods would grow tired of it. By the time the god of the heavens realized that the war would not stop, everything was on the edge of destruction. In a last effort to save the earth, he called his worshippers to build a temple of the purest metals. The temple was to contain a chamber inscribed with magical runes and sealed with the highest orders of magic. The god of the heavens then called upon all his power and hurled all the other gods into the chamber, sealing them inside until their dispute was finished.
However, the god of the heavens, having used all the energy he had, was to weak to maintain himself any longer. His body was destroyed and his spirit dissolved into nothingness. The chamber remained sealed and without the god of the heavens to release them, the other gods seemed to be trapped for eternity.
The sealed gods did not give up hope, however. They stopped their arguments and worked together to try to discover a way to open the seal. Ages passed as they thought, and the earth restored herself to her former state. Humankind all but forgot the gods, they only existed as myth to them. The temple of the sealed gods faded from memory, and became overgrown with the surrounding vegetation.
At last, the gods discovered a way to escape from their prison. They only needed to contact the descendants of the builders of the temple. Each god tore its spirit from its own body and forced it through the seal to the world of man. The spirits then reached to a descendant in a vision, telling them what must be done to open the seal and leaving their spirit in the form of an artifact. The humans were bestowed with the ability to use the powers of the god through the artifact. The gods had not forgotten their war, however, and many of the gods left other directions for their spiritbearer. Several gods planned assassinations of other gods spiritbearers, for if a spiritbearer failed to revive their god, that god would never be released.
This is where we start our story...
Anyway, on to the "character sheet". You will be roleplaying one of the spiritbearers, not one of the gods. Remember that the spiritbearers have free will and do not necessarily have to agree with the mission their god has bestowed on them. The sheet should be set up somewhat like this:
-Spiritbearer Information-
Name: Karakus Dei (Usually go by Dei)
Age: 32
Profession: Mercenary, Halberdier(Is that how you spell it?)
Brief Description: Dei has long flowing black hair, that he either keeps in a pony tail, or lets it hand loose. Dei has dark blue eyes. He stands about 6'1" and weighs in at about 195. Dei wears a tight white shirt, then a green vest over that. He has black pants, and black boots. A large black cloak is worn about all his body, usually tight about him as well.
Brief History: Dei was born into a wealthy family, in a large port town. He was at leisure as a kid, but once he started studying warfare and tactics, he couldn't get enough of it. He was fasinated by the whole subject. After training with many weapons, Dei decided to best get proficient with the Halberd. After Dei reached the age of 18, he acquired jobs for himself, as in security or escorting, things of that nature to gain actual experience in the matter. After one major confrontation, involving smugglers attacking a caravan he and others were protecting, Dei lost his control for bloodlust as he slayed the smugglers, he left his family soon after that to become a full-time mercenary. He's served in several armys and has been in many raids. He's learned to control his bloodlust, but hasn't lost his taste for it either. Daranis came to him after a raid of a small trading village, he told him of his situation and of what he wishs Dei to do for him, Dei agreed upon hearing that the god's powers would become his own. After travelling with Daranis for sometime, Dei became good friends with him, and has mastered his powers well. Dei has become genuinly caring for Daranis's position and wishs to release him for the seal inside the temple.
-God Information-
Name: Daranis
Element: Wind (the element can be traditional (earth, wind, fire, etc.) or nontraditional (venom, etc.)):

Anyone can join this, but is someone chooses an element you wanted...too bad, choose another, post your character sheet then just post from then on out.

Dei lay on a hillside leading into an open plain, with forests surrounding it. He thought of his situation, as he had done so many times before on his trek to find this temple where the gods were sealed away.
Do not worry my friend, you are heading in the right direction towards the temple, You will find your way there in time.
That's not what I'm worried about, I haven't seen any other bearers since I've traveled with you this past month, I'm worried some may have made it to the temple already, and may be waiting to catch late arrivers with snares.
I doubt very much that that is the case, I would know if anyone neared within miles of the temple, and I assure you, there are none in the vacinity. And I should probably let you know that if there were another spiritbearer nearby you would know. The artifacts we bestow upon our bearers will rise in heat as more spiritbearers gather closer, but not a kind of heat that would burn you.
Very well then, I'm glad your with me, if I had to make this trek alone, I would go insane, I'm used to having men with me in my travels.
Dei took out the iron leaf from a pouch at his waist as he began to roll it from finger to fingin in his right hand, observing the artifact. Dei began to relax for awhile, he had travelled all through the night and all through today till now, which was midday. But his rest was soon interrupted when the iron leaf began to rise in heat, another spiritbearer was nearby...
