An explorer gone missing. A king in panic. A treasure to find.
Welcome to the Craggy Peaks. We hope you don't freeze to death.
That would mean we couldn't... play.
Even the Thoron may thirst for knowledge, and Embraced-A-Star has chosen the most direct route it can find to new discoveries. It chooses to go where no other creature can.
Suffused with a love for probing every inch of the darkest and most unexplored depths of the ocean, this adventurous octopus like being possesses a dashing courage most odd for one of his race.
Not very surprising perhaps, when you consider the fact that this young explorer is insane.
When running a new party, get around the question of plot density by having the first discovery to be a deck of fate, or whatever you call it. If you use a real deck, you should definitely stack it to have the desired outcome, which is to curse the party to attract weird things to happen and involve them. This should not be told to the players at the time, so that they won't just up and try to get themselves 'decursed'. Though quite why they would want to is beyond me.
