Desperado, oh, you ain’t gettin’ no younger:
Your pain and your hunger, they’re drivin’ you home.
And freedom, oh freedom,
Well, that’s just some people talkin’
Your prison is walking,
Through this world all alone.
First, you get the gold. Then you get the power. I could care about the women, I’ve had the men in the palm of my hand since I was 17.
Memoirs of Wealth, excerpt
"I’ve heard poets say a pen is mightier than a sword. Foolishness, mostly. But I’ll say this. A pen in my brother’s hand is worth a hundred swords in a hundred soldiers’ hands."
- General Kailan Sylanthin
At first glance, Edrea seems to be a very nice lady. She seems to be sensible and kind, the perfect matron for an orphanage. But, of course, that is all merely an act.
The Commander of Confederation Special Operations Unit 13, the Star Falcons, Peregrine-0004.7 is an extravagant, yet highly effecient soldier. Time and time again, he has lead the Oraki black-ops teams to success, keening his unnerving war-cry.
"I am all that’s left of an old, old religion. No one remembers my goddess anymore, except me. Please, do not intrude on my solitude and contemplation."
Kor’na’Nath is the man who has done what, in ancient times, was considered impossible. He has united the men of the Kel’Regar, to provide a skeleton by which they may survive the world outside Regar.
The high ambassador of the Kel’Regar to the Earthling federation, the unearthly Ku’ar’Riss is a terrifying creature to behold, her desires as dark and alien as her skin.
Magic is a blessing and curse, life and death, birth and undoing, a goal and a way.
"I have discovered that subtlety cannot give me what is rightfully mine. So I’ll just take it back."
Yet another list of 30, this time fiendish foes, vile villians, and and dastardly do-badders.

Renik Kavios is the leader of the dockworkers’ union. He is also a smuggler for stolen goods and illegal contraband. Through his power, he has the leaders of a city locked under his control.
The Unification War was a travesty, an act of naked fascism against frontier worlds so diverse and destitute that their submission was not worth the cost in lives, material, and hostility garnered. We, gentlemen, have created generations of enemies.

“She’s dead, Jim.” “We have the technology, we can rebuild her.” “... Yes. But should we?” “We must, in order to counter his scheming.” “Then we’ll do it.”

An insular alchemist walking two paths..
Saril had a dream. To open a library in the windswept wastes of Naarish, so that the people of the many villages and towns spread over the hundreds of leagues of desert could discover the joys of his books. For a whole year he kept his library open, but alas, almost no one came.
That is when Saril came up with his new idea. If people didn't travel to read his books, he would travel to them! Saril closed his library, hired a team of twelve camels, loaded up the beasts with all of his books and proceeded to invent the first nomadic library.
Now children and adults alike, looked forward to hearing the bells of Saril's camels as he entered their villages, as he tirelessly traversed the deserts in a long circuitous route, visiting every village and town he came across, in turn. It came to pas that Saril's traveling library came to some fame, and that is how the folk of Naarish became literate.
A word of warning though. Naarish has only six thousand volumes. He deals with those that lose or steal his tomes quite "harshly", by bypassing the town or village which was responsible for losing one of his books for that calendar year.
