The lowly Undead cannot be a true replacement for a living well-motivated workforce. But Undead do not tire, they do not have moods (well none worth marking), they do not require pay or lunchbreaks, and can work 24/7, if properly controled. So until activists start to fight for Undead rights, they are an interesting option.

Another year, another List. I am always giving advice to various gamers on various game forums. I am constantly giving the same advice over and over again (cut/ paste repeat). Once a year I think about the advice and put together The List. These are this year’s ten most common pieces of gaming advice I have given out. They should be useful to you to some level.
What kind of interesting Afterlife(s) do the people have in your game world(s), whether they believe in it or for real? Is there hell(s), or paradise(s), or something in-between? What happens when people die?

In a fantastic world of magic, it can be assumed magic is in all living creatures to some degree, and a part of it is with concentration usable for magical purposes - humanoids are typically such users.
It is only logical, that for instance animals should have this magic, too.
Where will we be one day, and what will we believe? How will we consider the world around us, and the people? How will we treat the known and the unknown, and possibly other intelligent lifeforms?
Whether close or distant future, something will be similar, and something… is very likely to be different.

Forsooth!! (whatever the hell that means)
Ever since I bought a copy of Jeffrey Kacirk’s Forgotten Words tome, I have become somewhat obsessed with, well…forgotten words. As you read these bizarre, often-silly, and sometimes downright sensible words, phrases and their meanings, you may discover what I did. It seemed that almost every term I came across, instilled some sort of fantasy rpg idea in my head.
I propose a challenge for all word-lovers! Pick any one and do a submission featuring and inspired by said word. Simple enough right? I tried to pick some of the jucier ones.
This can be added to in three ways. Firstly as mentioned, as an entire submission based on one word or phrase. Secondly, more funky archaic terms can be added alphabetically as scrolls, and thirdly, just by using a word or two in future submissions.
If nothing else, these words can be used to pleasantly pepper one’s writing!

We all remember our first loves!...Thats right! I mean our first rpg characters of course. For many of us, it included a ratty piece of paper, a #2 pencil, and six sided die. Didnt need much more than that back then :D.
Got this idea while reminiscing with Scras. Just post your first character, a few lines to a paragraph, thats all I ask. In the words of Fiddler on the Roof, “Those were the days my friends.”

A guide on creating legal codes for games, history, examples, and why bother?
The PCs have travelled long and far. As nightfall approaches a mighty storm is unleashed. Luckily there is a lush wood nearby the path.
A good shelter for the rage of the unnamed weather gods it seams at first. As the PCs enter under the roof of this dense wood, they are welcomed by only a few drops wich is allowed trough the thick forest crown. A fire is offcourse required to warm the weary bones of the travellers. As one of the party is set to the task of collecting firewood the others settle down at a suitable location. But alas, they did not know the perils of this forest. But it seems clear to the rest of the party that something ill is at work as the woodcutters scream echo from afar.
