Useful. If someone is searched by a large City Guard patrol, too many to take on, or have allready murdered someone and don't want the murder weapon ever to be found, it can be pushed all the way inside.

A nice holding item.  I'd make it so lost items are not forever lost, but still require such things as plane-hopping or very high magic to retrieve.

I like those scabbards, and can imagine all sorts of mischief with them.

How do you tame one?

A cool critter with lots of nice details.

Making it completely undomesticatable limits its usage though - perhaps a small percentage are actually less pyschotic and potentially tameable, though for some reason this trait is not inherited.  As a result, people may still keep and breed them, and the rare few that are usable would become highly prized.

An elicit trade in 'tame' Drakes could emerg, where normal P.drakes are magically tamed and sold, only to result in unfortunate incidents when the magic wears off or is dispelled.

They could also be used in cage fights too, given their nature.

One of these? You don't. They are almost completely untamable. Too stupid to be tamable. The bigger, more intelligent ones however.... Go to Comment

I like how the actual drake is somewhat biologically sound. Overall, a good creature. Would they attack people who entered their territory, or is such ferocity retained for the captors? Go to Comment

I like the use of progressive condition weapons, just a little taste now, but you can have way more latter, you'll have to pay for it then.

Interesting.  I would like to know how the PC is supposed to learn the passphrase to activate the sword, though.  Perhaps it can be inscribed upon the blade?  Or does the peddler mention this fact?

I wanted to create a weapon that would fit any campaign (hence the use of very bland-high-fantasy back story) that would enable the wielder to have some serious firepower, but at an ethical cost. And it could certainly add some intrigue to any campaign - just how do I feed this sword? Will it be a rival PC, or will one have to resort to senseless murder of an NPC? When does enough become too much? Will the PC succumb to the sword's lust for violence? Will he end up as a crystal statue? Or will he/she sense that this sword asks too much, and abandon the blade? Good question. At your discretion, it may be imbued in the blade, or perhaps the PCs will delve into the forbidden lore of the sword in an epic sidequest, in the ruins of the mage-smith's tower. Go to Comment
