Interesting-
Medieval chewing gum. A good point of background for a setting. In fact, if you don't mind, I think I will add it to the Empire, if you don't mind. Do you?

Hey, pal, 4/5 is great. If it was as average as you seem to think, it'd be a 3. Go to Comment

This should have more detail. The city has a magic fountain- alright, where is it? In the temple. What does the temple look like? What is the city like?

Heh, another 2.0. This one has the seed of something interesting, but the time to make it into a decent sub was not spent. Go to Comment

The core idea of this place being a rumor is okay and there's nothing flawed abt it in terms of content but the structure of this piece is just all over the place and that's where this is a 2.

An interesting sidetrack, but there is not much detail. Is the City of Venerability really the site of the Fountain of Youth, or what?

Royal_Assassin's comment on 2004-09-15 09:03 PM
Well nobody really knows and that is what the PC's should be hopefully intrigued to wonder and try to find out by venturing there and finding out the cold hard truth themselves. It is believed to be the site of the Fountain of Youth but it is all rumor that could be true. That is where the plot sets in for the PC's to go about and find out the truth along the path of the directions that aren't so clear.

It is kinda like the needle and a haystack story. But you could choose to let them find it or just piss them off and get them side-tracked so they go back to the place the were told of the rumor and slit the sorry bastard's throat that told them it. LOL

The core idea of a plot that largely serves to confuse players is okay but I think the bit abt the drunken staying in the same bar for 3 years and starting a barfight with anyone attempting to steal the note from him a bit of a logical flaw as it implies that somehow he has the note very securely kept around his person OR he's somehow the best fighter in terms of a bar-fight which I find hard to believe.

No, you weren't correcting us like we corrected you...

(Here comes my Blanket Metaphor!)

Your item is a blanket, which you are knitting for a contest, say, your local fair. However, we come to see how you're getting along, and we notice some holes in your blanket. We point out those holes so that you can patch them to get the First Prize at the fair (5/5).
But, when we point out the holes, you call us "half minds" and "piss ants".
Given, Taxus and Scras, in pointing out holes, have said some things like "I can't believe you made such idiotic mistakes in your blanket!" and "Hole Check!", but they're probably having bad days, and will probably not do it again. Right guys?

About D&D statistics-
I don't want to harp on this, because I verge on being yet another agitator, but I just must say that not all systems contain critical blocks. That's okay, though, I didn't actually feel the need to point out the system. It was easy to discern what the gist of the power was- when you block with the shield, it shines, blinding the enemy.

Presenation marred what could be an excellent post. I am a little annoyed by the god name switch too, but I can forgive that.

The D20 mechanics should be given (if given at all) in addition to a verbal explanation of the results. This allows players/ GMs of other systems who do not know D20 to utilized your post.

example:
yada, yada, yada, blind unless blocked at extreme difficulty, yada, yada.

In D20 it would be a yada, yada, yada. Go to Comment

oh I understand that and I tried to explain that it blinds opponents after a critical block and lasts for however long you wish it to last, but I guess you half minds can't read anything straight without getting your ooo no he is using a system thing, it was an example piss ant. Also where are my spelling errors? and I just threw out the D20 as an example. Plus explain to me please the roman and greek god thingy. because I thought that is what they all were called in greek. Apollo is Apollo in both roman and greek. Go to Comment

I just went to three websites for information on greek gods vs. roman gods names and Zues, Ares, Hades and Apollo are all greek so check your sources then get back to me where you got me mixing up the gods thingy.

So please people before you complain or point out my errors check your own errors first and become aware of what you post because you may be the one wrong. Go to Comment

Ok but see Captain you put it a lot better than they did and I want to thank you for being so nice. I just hate it when I work on something and submit it and people just point out the negatives. I haven't gotten one yet that everyone says ooooo good item and gives me all 5/5 so I guess one day I will attain that status but not I need to tweak things a bit. By the way guys I was having a bad day because I wrote this thing like 3 times and every time I was almost done my house computer had a power surge and I lost it twice. So I wasn't very happy and it took me about 2 1/2 hours to do this because I lost it twice. But sorry for the comments above if they were offensive and thanks for the input. I hope you like the new properties better. It should fit everyone better in thier fantasy world.
